At one point a bf found the code and let me play the full version. This was a revelation, and I got into the Puzzle side of it. Later I broke it, only to be sucked in when I came up to Michigan and found a new roommate who'd (gasp) actually purchased the full version. The rest, you can probably guess. Recently I was talking to a friend on the phone, and he paused and said accusingly, "are you playing Snood?" He was right, and I was amazed, because I hadn't played it in years. He said he heard the frustration in my voice.

BUT--many hours of that same said sophomore year of Snood goodness--half our dorm spent their lives on Diablo. and I remember two girls who were involved in that madness too, Ana. I just have different choices than you people. 😛

Was that Nick who cracked it for you? You know the guy that was going to date me but ended up with his wife instead (that reference was for Beary and TypeA).

OOH...I did that once...T-Mobile sent me a new one. It would turn off everytime I pressed "9"..unfortunately, I dialed 9 a lot. (Must be JLW's 1-900 lines ) Anyway, I called T-Mobile and told them the problem. They didn't ask if it had met a wall at a high rate of speed. 😉

Maybe I should try and call about my cell. It hit the floor from a decent distance at a relatively moderate rate of speed (i.e. I was making up my bed, yanked the blanket, cell went flying). It only works intermittently now. That was last yr though. Still have it, barely use it though. I'm atechnical.

average MCAT was 11.44 and the average GPA was 3.72. Please note that we

Penn State v Pitt is our only true, bloodborne rivalry, but we have played WVU tons of time. Notre Dame might be a distant 3rd.

PSU/MSU was a fabricated rivalry when we joined the Big 10, but most of the other ones were destroyed because of it.

I think the term "reputation" is different for people. Some say a school has a good reputation if it's heavy in research others for the quality of the hospital. Miami has an awesome hospital (Jackson Memorial) and they've got a ton of money for that and research. UF is similiar, but Shands hospital isn't as large. Locations are almost completely opposite. UF is pure college town (maybe like AA, not sure) while Miami is close to a beach. Both are very well funded and have large donations.

FSU is a 6-7 year old med school and I don't think there's even a level 1 trauma center nearby. They focus on primary care, no research, and things like that. It's probably my least favorite FL school. USF is kind of in the middle of these. Not really research oriented, but they have a number of good hospitals in the Tampa area.

My personal rank:

1. UF and Miami
3. USF
4. FSU

UCF opens doors for 2008, but I don't know anything about it. I saw a commercial lastnight about having a VA hospital in campus, which was news to me.

I just finished watching the movie "Why I Wore Lipstick to my Mastectomy". The main character is played by Sarah Chalke (Elliot from Scrubs) and it's a great movie for the randomite ladies.

It has a happy ending, but I bawled all the way through it. A must-see for us 20 and 30-somethings.

So I just got done watching various segments of a PBS special called Rx for Survival that was narrated by Brad Pitt.

its about 8 different crises and global health cases that have occurred around the world from Vitamin A treatment for kids in India where it is not easily received in the diet to the HIV crisis in Bostwana and so forth.

I have to say that i am tempted to finish watching the rest of it when i have time because its pretty interesting and inspiring.

I mean like as late as 2 years ago the first time I took the MCAT and was getting scores back there was a crisis in my home country with Polio. This happened in the northern part of the country but man I was shocked when I heard them say that that was from only as recently as 2 years ago. Its hard to imagine that while we are here in our safe little corners and time flying by these kids are suffering like some of the worst diseases due to lack of proper vaccines and education etc.

Seeing the difference these physicians made in hundreds if not thousands of lives by going overseas and implementing public health programs was real inspiring.

Ok that's my spiel.

Other then that I'm off to study for a lab quiz and then to figure out how to do a homework assignment.
