My exam last night .... its on the line .... I hope I did well enough for an A in the class and I hope he gives us generous credit for wrong answers. It was MC test but he said he would consider the work we show. 4 questions I got wrong due to calculations! 🙁 I got 6 wrong total.

I really want a 4.0. I've never had anything close to a 4.0 before and I just would be so proud of myself to make dean's list for the first time in college! 😍

Ochem exam in 2 hrs, I just want sleep. I had a stupid cold or something that will NOT go away. I slept horribly last night to boot.


Registering for the MCAT in 16 hrs ... :scared:

When I grade exams, I only take one point off for calculation errors... two if the answer was so laughably, obviously wrong that a scientifically-minded student should have questioned it immediately. (The building turns out to be 3mm tall, stuff like that. You'd be amazed what people write down without really thinking about it.) This depends on enough work being shown that I can figure out what happened, so if you showed your work, I bet you'll be okay.

Good luck to those with finals still looming ahead and/or waiting on grades. I guess good luck to Pem on grading exams. 😕 (did I get that right?)

Well, we actually didn't end up getting a cat. Turns out our landlord wasn't really too thrilled about that idea (although she told us it was fine when we moved in...not sure why she changed her mind). She decided to bring in the pest control squad to take care of our apt's mouse troubles, and eventually they did the whole building. We haven't seen any evidence since then! *relieved*

I'd still like to get a cat at some point...but I will probably have to wait until I move wherever I'm going to be for med school.

Well it looks like April 7th for me ... I want a morning session to be done with it and I need to take it early enough that if I need to retake I can.

I'm worried about there being enough spots to take the MCAT! :scared: Apparently with this new CBT, the number of tests will dramatically decrease. For instances, my local testing center has 20 seats per sitting! 20, compared to the scores who would take it through out the year. There are only 4 testing centers in my state. So think about the average number of appicants and the number of testing sites ... some areas are going to have MCAT shortages! I hope I'm not in one of those areas. More along the fact if I DO need to retake I'll be registering later than when registration first opens up. I think some people are expecting seats to be hard to come by in certain areas because I had Kaplan people calling me to remind me to register and from talking to her, most pre-meds were CLUELESS about the changes to the MCAT (less # of seats).


But its going to suck when I get my score the day after my finals, how will I concentrate!!!?!?!?!?!

Well, well... looks like I missed a good chat after I went to bed - I don't say went to sleep because I laid awake stressing about micro until about 2 am 🙁

But I'm done and it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. In fact, I so way overstudied! And luckily PCR wasn't on the test so I don't have to worry about bitch-slapping him about his notes being wrong 🙄

I also just found out I don't have to take my A&P final in the morning because I already have an A! :clap: Good - because it's at 7:45 am and no amount of coffee can make that a decent hour, I'm sorry.

Wow - I just signed on to say hi while I printed off some stuff for Kaplan but some poor guy is printing off the LONGEST TERM PAPER EVER, and holding up the printer 🙁 I feel bad for him though; glad I didn't have to write that 🙁

I wanted to ask which date you were registering for b/c I just got a similar message from my UG premed office. That sucks that they changed the registration date on you guys!! ugh!

1) micro = complete and total scut.

2) They are now going to send ALL THE PLACENTAS down to pathology.

3) One of my autopsies already has litigation pending on it. Fab.

4) Thank the Good Lord that I only have one more full day of work before a well deserved and much needed vacation.
