Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

My last full day of work before vacation!! :clap: About 12 hrs to go. 👍

Going to be a busy one. Trying to sign out some autopsies first thing this morning and then I have my six-month review with the program director - kind of nervous about that!

We might. It started last week for me and is just progressing. Sinuses are killing em and honestly my brain is mush. I just need to make like 145 pts on this final out of 200 for my A. I'd like as many as 200 that I can get but this pressure really is sucking my knowledge. 🙁

Today is judgement day, I might find out if I made my goal for the semester. :scared:

I had to take nyquil to sleep last night and I only took half the normal doage and still groggy. Must study :scared:

jlw, I need some of your "special" (ie xanax-laden) cookies, STAT!!!

My 6 month review went fine. I brought up how much the VA sucked/how negative it is over there, etc. Now I am feeling like it was a mistake to do that. :scared: He asked if I had had any problems, lol. Easier to just say "nope, everything's fine!" But I guess I'm on track in my program. 👍

If he ASKED if everything was okay, he was probably looking for feedback into the program. If you were being honest then that's probably a good thing for the program in the long run. 😍

Yeah, he asked several times. First time, I said "everything's fine!" Then he specifically asked for any suggestions or improvements that could be made. I don't feel that bad about it since every single resident HATES it over there. (I think people are just scared to bring things up - I know I am. Heck, just talking about it made me turn all red, voice shake, etc! And our PD is a very non-threatening type guy, thank goodness). I will think of it as making an attempt to help next year's first years (and myself in March, haha!)

Unfortunately he had heard I had "health problems." 🙁 Oh well nothing I can do about it. He told me not to sweat it if I do end up needing more time off later, etc., so that was really nice. I think he brought it up to help, not at all in a negative way.

He also was wondering why I haven't gotten involved in any research. ROFLMAO. Yeah in all my "spare time."

Man I need to chill. I am like feeling panicky. Only about 8.5 hrs to go. 👍 I will be very happy when 2 o clock rolls around and ID rounds are over. Then all I have to do is paperwork, preview cases, sign out autopsies, etc., have boot camp tonight, then OUT! :clap:

I'm sure that I had some role to play in that. (Although if you want to take the blame for last night, then we can blame Twin for the night before. Much easier for me to blame you guys than accept that perhaps I should have had the foresight to not stay up until 1am when I knew it was coming on. 👍 )

So today I got a University of Illinois MD/PhD recruitment letter. It encouraged me to apply by filling out AMCAS, Secondary, LORs etc. All in 2 weeks.

Ummm.....No. I knew I should have declined recruiting services.

Not from ohio/PA though - I think I picked that up in Nebraska! (moved there when I was in college 😉 ) My folks just moved to Cincy a few months ago.

Mostly grew up in NY/NJ, believe we said "soda" there. Sounds strange to me now. 😀

I'm doing the worst presentation at ID rounds EVAR. 7 hours to go. 👍

Going to have a happy beary on your hands tonight. 😎
