That's cuz you do all that craziness with pchem and calculus. I was in calc II about a year ago and people were doing the whole integrations and derivatives on a TI92 all at once. It was sooooo high tech compared to my TI 86 model.

thats the one i used too guju! the TI86 i mean, i got it back in 10th grade and i used it all the way through college with my chem degree before finally selling it on ebay last year.

The Heat lost to the Bulls by 42 points at Miami. Largest loss by a defending champion on opening night. Previous was a 15 point loss. 108-66 is huge. I guess they were all too caught up with the ring presentation before the game. The Bulls play my Magic so hopefully we get a win on our first night. 🙂

Time to see Kobe in his new jersey...

My freshmen push my buttons all the time reaching for those damned calculators... one of them actually reached for hers the other day to divide 15 by 100!!!! I took it away. They use their calculators to do their thinking for them!!!

I still use the same TI-81 that I got (top-of-the-line, my mother complained about the expense and unnecessary sophistication) in 1992.

What's with all the screen-name-changing? Good thing I mostly recognize people by their avatars anyway.

Witness? Dude, they all left early. I lawled when Riley said they had the best fans when they got their rings before the game. I know most didn't watch the Heat in their trough. Not many fans, but when they start winning, seats fill up. I guess they're all too busy with South Beach and all. There's too much to do there so no need to see a loss because 90% of the people don't even know what a 3 second violation means. :laugh:

Btw, I saw that prison you went to on TV. Emeril shot his show there recently and it was on MSNBC today showing Capone's room with a fancy ass chair. Surprised it was only closed about 30 years ago. Some guy who works there says he's seen ghosts and he named 2 of them. Smiley and Shadow (iirc).

If I lived in South Beach, I wouldn't even care to know what a basketball was!


The prison was pretty cool. Very creepy and haunted looking but not really scary because it was so freaking commercialized/crowded.....500 other people kinda takes away that whole "scary" feeling :laugh:

In that case, good night to you. The time change has messed me up, too. It should've made me go to bed earlier, but I now go to sleep at 2 AM. 😕 Which is the old 3 AM. wtf.

I should have used it to catch up on sleep too, but instead it was an extra hour of Halloween weekend barhopping.

Whoa - what in the world?

I bought my dad two bags of candy for tick-or-treaters (we usually have none but I just feel like crap if some come by and we have no candy 🙁 ). I just went to check the bags to see how many we had while I was out (my dad is asleep, can't ask him) and apparently our candy made babies.

I'm serious. I bought two bags and there are 4 in there... wtf?

And good night! It's only 9:35 here but I'm exhausted. The baby would only sleep last night if she was in my arms and that keep me from getting a good night's sleep. 🙁 Fingers crossed that tonight goes better!

Thank you SO MUCH oxeye. I am very very nervous. :scared: Not only because I don't feel like I have the physical strength, but also I just have no idea what the heck I am supposed to be doing. Sort of feels like starting residency all over again.
