how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

The release of the WoW expansion pack got pushed back from November 27 to January 16. 😡

Though, I do have Step 3 on December 7 and 8, so maybe a little bit of that is a good thing. 😉

So I ran in to Patrick "Captain Jean Luc Picard" Stewart today at Jimmy John's... I didn't even recognize him until the guy at the cash register did

Not really. I am just not linking it in my sig.

So this Fiona Apple song is on the radio. Nothing like a good Fiona Apple song to make you feel like killing yourself. So I found myself wondering if she has ever smiled in her life. Turns out, she has! 😱

You learn something new every day. 😉

She looked even better in the video. I was shocked, actually. I hope I go to her for speedin tickets. 👍

Do you go to court for speeding tickets? I have just been paying mine. People have told me to go because the cop doesn't want to go and lots of times it will just get thrown out. (I mean, I was definitely speeding, there is no disputing the actual facts. I would definitely go if I thought I had been unfairly ticketed).

I hated the Africa ER episodes too. 🙁

I also hate when I get a soda from a fast food place and it's filled to the top with ice!!!! ARGH! (just got a soda from Jack in the Box and I swear the amount of actual soda in the cup is half of a can!)

That's why I ask for no ice most of the time.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! My niece is coming!!!!!! My sister has been having contractions for 48 hours, saw the doctor today and she's way more dilated that she even was yesterday so her doctor is admitting her and is going to help push things along (ie break her water).

I'm so excited!!!! I'll get to meet my niece this weekend!! And my sister will finally be a mom! (she's been trying to have a baby since before I was even pregnant with my little one).

who cares if rutgers loses... louisville shouldn't be #3

I have to agree with this (very sorry BB - not a personal offense. 😉 )

I think ultimately a 1-loss SEC or Big 12 team has to go to the NC over Louisville.

I haven't been reading much about college FB lately. (Why, I don't know. A new idea of something to do!! ) Is there ANY possibility of an OSU/Mich rematch in the NC game? Personally, I think that would be lame since they would have just played. But say it is a hard fought battle and one team wins by one because of a missed extra point or something. Does that put Louisville or the 1-loss teams over the loser of the OSU/Mich game?

10 SEC/Big Ten teams have turned us down for scheduling. We can't help our SOS if no one wants to play us.

PS. The Big 12 is having an awful year just like the ACC.

Louisville beat Kentucky by 31 at home. Florida beat the Wildcats by 19 at home. (The Gators, one of the teams Big East bashers were promoting as superior after Thursday night, strutted their stuff Saturday against Vanderbilt. Beat the Commodores by six. Florida hasn't scored more than 28 in a game since Sept. 9 and has outscored its last seven opponents by 7.2 points per game.)

West Virginia beat Mississippi State on the road by 28. Auburn beat the Bulldogs on the road by 34. (Auburn has scored more than 27 points in a game only twice in the last two months -- against Buffalo and Tulane.)

Rutgers beat Illinois by 33, while Ohio State beat the Illini by seven. The Scarlet Knights beat Navy by 34, while Notre Dame beat the Midshipmen by 24.

The loudest Big East bashing seems to be coming from Southeastern Conference advocates. Here's the funny thing about that: Ask how many SEC teams are willing to schedule Louisville.

The number is two. According to the Louisville administration, everyone else in the league has ducked, dodged and squirmed away from games with the Cardinals.

Kentucky does it more out of rote obligation, satisfying the state's mandate to have its two I-A teams play on an annual basis. The Wildcats are so thrilled about the series that they've cravenly demanded moving the games in Lexington off their traditional season-opening date to a spot later in the calendar, when the matchup will draw less attention.

The other SEC school to step up is Georgia, which has agreed to a two-year home-and-home with Louisville starting in 2010.

Vanderbilt backed out of a contract with the Cards that was to start next year. Everyone else in the SEC has passed at least once on home-and-home overtures from Louisville this century, according to senior associate athletic director Kevin Miller.

It's gotten to the point that Louisville is now offering neutral-site games with SEC teams. Miller said he's met with officials in Nashville about scheduling Louisville against Alabama, Arkansas or Tennessee. Athletic director Tom Jurich (10) said he's open to playing an SEC team in the Georgia Dome. They've asked ESPN for help in lining up games, too.

The takers are few -- and not just in the SEC. Among the others who have broken contracts with the Cardinals in recent years, according to Miller: Boston College, Georgia Tech, Duke and Texas Tech.

"[Football scheduling] has become the hardest part of my job," Jurich said.

SEC schools are busy filling out their schedules with home games, largely against chumps. So far in 2006 the league has produced exactly one road win against a nonconference opponent from a Big Six league: Vanderbilt over Duke. The Big East owns six road wins over Big Six opponents in 2006.

This is how you preserve the status quo: refuse to play up-and-coming programs, then howl about their allegedly weak schedules.

Read this and come back if you want to call us weak!

I seriously think you don't know what's going on. You allowed them to score 28 points. We GAVE them 7. You have no defense. Defense wins the game. End of story. If your team goes to the championship game, bring lube.

Btw, Rutgers shouldn't even be ranked. They were ranked because they had 5 non-conference games in the beginning (easy) and now they have conference games. That's why there were 3 undefeated Big East teams lastweek. No one had to play eachother until late in the season. I think Louisville should be ranked, but not in the Top 10.

My honest opinion here: I'd like to see Michigan/OSU vs. LSU. That would be a fantastic game (of course excluding a UM/OSU rematch). I think LSU is a great team and they were just another victim of the SEC.

We played a ranked Tennesse, LSU, Auburn, and Georgia. 3 of those 4 are still ranked. You played Miami, which was still on its pre-season ranking (not accurate). They've been losing all along this season. WVU still sucks because they have no defense and it's Big East. You can compare point differentials all season, but only heads-up matters. We don't need to play Louisville in our schedule. We already have non-conference rivalries. Plus, we have EIGHT conference games a season PLUS an SEC championship game. Your laughable 7 conference games and NO championship game is a JOKE. Your players will never wear out like ours do. That's why the SEC has put more players in the NFL than any other conference. That's why the average players per team from teh SEC is more than any other conference. Your conference is a JOKE.

😴 You can't go back to the schedule. No one wants to play us from the "mighty" SEC.

Like I said, no reason to. Plus, it used to be an 11 game season when Louisville offered. 8 SEC, FSU, and Miami (almost every year). That left 1 free game. We give that to a UCF-type team. Not ranked (I'm giving you that benefit).

We did not "struggle" vs Vandy. We led the entire game. We were up 25-6 til the 4th quarter. We put in the regulars for that and run the clock out. No need to push ourself to the end when we need to save energy for our last SEC game. I still give credit to Vandy. They can beat half the crap you play. I'm logging off and watching the rest of this game (which is a joke thus far). Cya.

You know why defense wins the game? Because they can stop teams from scoring AS WELL AS score themself on turnovers. You have no defense. OSU/Michigan will capitalize on it and steamloller all over you.
