Odd, I didn't notice anything offensive... was it for calling that guy an idiot? People get called worse in the pre-allo forum on a fairly regular basis.

So is this like points off your drivers license or what?

heh, yeah... I guess they have to try something, it gets a little out of hand at times, but it's not nearly as bad as I've seen it before

I don't want to leave my baby for lab this morning. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

Fever was 104+ when we woke up (got the tylenol in her right away!) but she's so miserable and clingy. I'm not sure how she will be while I'm gone for a few hours.

The other sick kid is still sleeping. I hope her fever is lower.

I've given up on getting a grip on myself and am going to go home. Hopefully I can get out of here before I start bawling like a 3 year old. I did my work that I had to do. Now just pray for no pages.

Oh oxeye. 🙁 Poor baby. 104 is so high. I bet she is so clingy.

Also, residency milestone update. In 3 hours and 45 minutes, I will be 1/3 of the way with first year. Meaning, 1/12 of the way done with residency. 😀

Okay - I don't get the baby. Her fever is down to 102 with the Tylenol and she's acting like she feels fine now. 🙂

The three year old on the other hand, barely has a fever without Tylenol and is on the couch looking completely pathetic. 🙁 And am I a bad mom for preferring her like this? She hasn't fought with her sister or talked back at all today! :laugh:

Who got sick first? If the baby got sick first, then she'll be feeling better first. Or you may have a drama queen on your hands 😉

Ok, my random post for the day. (Which actually isn't all that random if you are me.)

A couple of weeks ago, the inside of the convertible got wet. Ok...SUPER wet. I was mucho afraid of mold and mildew and all that yucky stuff that would cost an arm and a leg (and perhaps a kidney or 2) to repair if it could be done at all. So, I opened up the car (including the trunk b/c a lot of water had gotten in there) and let it sit in the garage. About a week later, I go and check on it...not smell, no mold...completely dry! THANK GOD! I figured that the battery was dead and would need a jump b/c the light in the trunk had gone out. No biggie.

Fast forward to yesterday morning. I am dropping off PWH at the hospital (not in the convertible - it is still in the garage) and a cop pulls up next to us. "Um, yeah, are you aware that your license plate stickers expired in May?" WHAT? Of course I had no idea. Cop lets me go without a ticket. :clap: We moved in May, so who knows what happened to the renewal...if we even got one. I didn't have time to even call DMV yesterday...trying to study for my Chem exam on Wednesday. So, I decide to pull out the BMW which has up to date tags. Um...well....as expected, it is dead. So, gravity and a nice slope roll it out of the garage for me. We jump the thing and let it run. Needs gas, so hubby follows me to the gas station...get gas...snag...darn thing won't turn back on. Ok, no prob...except that neither one of us threw the jumper cables in the car. So, we push it to the edge of the parking lot, drive home in the other car, get the cables and drive back....jump the thing and hubby says to drive it around for like 30 minutes. I did. He follows. So, I have bought some time to get past Wednesday's exam. Except, when I tried to turn it on this morning...um..nope. Not happening. So I lug all of my junk back into the "illegal" car and drive off to school.

I know some cop is going to pull me over and actually give me a ticket and I am not going to have any excuse. So I tried to get a new battry installed today. Um...yeah, why is it that this is not a big deal ANYWHERE BUT HERE? I mean, even oil changes you have to make an appointment in advance and leave it all day. Seriously. Ridiculous.

Another thing. A guy borrows my calculator in Bio to do some Stats stuff and I leave w/o getting it back. Um...yeah...Chem exam tomorrow. I need it. I can't figure out my TI-89. Anyone know how to change it so that the answer is given in decimals and not fractions? HELLO! If I enter "237/23" that is the QUESTION NOT THE ANSWER! Ugh.

Type A, for the TI-89, type in the decimal. I.e. 237./23 instead of just 237/23. It does that so it simplifies fractions. Sometimes when people borrow mine, I get it back with the same fraction typed in repeatedly and they never asked for help. 🙂

Sucks about your car troubles, but you have a BMW? How YOU doin'? 🙂

Thanks for the help with the calc. Don't get excited..the BMW's not new. Just fun. AND...I just found a battery and some place that will install it! WOO HOO!

The baby did - but only by 12 hours. They both still have fevers, the baby's is higher yet she is acting more normal.

My older one is just a total drama queen. 😉

Today is my brother's birthday! I'm sad to see October go. The year always goes by with lightning speed after that, and I hate to see the pretty fall go.

On a side note, I wonder how many trick-or-treaters we'll get tonite! Last year it was half cute kids and half teenagers looking for handouts.
