That post came out wrong. I love med students!! 😍 Really, I do. (Why do you think I had 12? :meanie: Because I'm the nice resident! 🙂 )

But - some of them were totally in my way, and literally reading over my shoulder when I was refreshing the chart, etc. So a few of them were just rude people. Had nothing to do with them being med students. And - 12 is just too many for one autopsy. There isn't enough room for everybody to see. And, I really want to get to teach them and show them stuff, but again, 12 is too much. So it slowed me down A LOT. That's all.

i'm totally messing with you, i can tell you're awesome just from your online posts. psych has been VERY good to me lately, as in extremely. i can sleep in every morning and only have a 4 hour shift scheduled where i'm always sent home early. 😀

nice break before internal medicine in 2-3 weeks thats for sure.

how are you feeling super doc?!?!?!

I would like to tell you all that cut gloves really work. Being stressed/tired/rushed led to me cutting into my left hand with a bone saw. Outer latex glove - shredded. Cut glove - pretty much shredded. Inner latex glove - covered in blood, but intact. Hand - pristine. 😀

Phew.

I'm glad you're okay. How was the glove covered in blood if your hand is fine? The dead person's blood?

Yeah, the dead person's blood. You basically swim in blood during an autopsy. My hand is 100% fine. Anyway, I'm always wearing cut gloves from now on.

Did you know that Vandy finished the football non-conference games at 3-1 with that 1 loss being to Michigan. :idea: Not bad at all...

There are also 10 players in the NFL from Vandy. Three of which play for my Buccaneers including one of my favorites--Shelton Quarles. :clap: Jay Cutler also went there. He's a QB for the Broncos, backup for Plummer. 👍

I hope you stay in the SEC, Dr. Durden. 👍 It would be a loss if you left.

I noticed they've been playing that OSU/Mich couple making out on ESPN now (I posted a screen shot before).

The head coach of Auburn was talking about the "Iron bowl," which is the Auburn-Alabama rivarly game. He said it's the biggest college football rivalry "as voted." I kept LMAO trying to think of who voted for it. Sure as hell wasn't ESPN, but I give him credit, it is a big ass rivarly.

Oh, UMP, I don't really know what your response will be, but keep in mind my e-mail is more about Trojans/Gators than anything else. You'll notice I didn't talk much specifically about OSU/Mich, but my opinion on both (favoring Mich) is all I really said. There was no reason for me to talk much more about either because I'm not out to give my long ass opinion stance on them--just USC and UF. 😉

his assertion that the PAC-10 is better than the SEC is preposterous... and I think the Florida/USC debate will still get sorted out by itself in the next few weeks

You throw a lot of stats around, which I would've prefered in table form 😉
That last part you wrote was your strongest argument, though, but I still think that guy was only saying that crap to stir up controversy and debate and just to be the obnoxious guy that every sports show needs

UMP, this is just a little fun I'm about to say on the SEC, but dont' read into too much. Just coincidence that this happened in the same year. 🙂

Basketball:
College: UF won the NCAA Bball championship. LSU was in the Final Four (2 of 4 in Final Four were SEC).
Pro: Miami Heat won the NBA championship. Four of five Heat starters are SEC. Haslem - UF, Williams - UF, O'Neal - LSU, Walker - Kentucky.

Football:
College: Three of top 9 in Coaches Poll are SEC (Florida, Arkansas, LSU)
Pro: Only undefeated team, Colts, QB Peyton is from SEC (Tennessee). Second best record team and best in NFC, Bears, QB Grossman is from SEC (Florida).

All 4 share one name: Florida 🙂

pistons looked awful last night, BTW... their defence sucks, something is not clicking. I don't want to put it on Flip Saunders, but that team is no longer over-achieving like it used to

IMO, Ben Wallace. He not only got defensive rebounds, but also offensive rebounds (second chance shots). Their defense was weaker last year. Wallace and Billups said it was because Filp didn't focus that much on it (post-game interview East Conf Finals vs. Heat). Larry Brown didn't make the team win that championship imo, it was the Pacers' coach (can't remember his name, but he looks like Jim Carrey).

rick carlisle... yeah, the defence was their bread and butter and won that championship for them, but it was also a lot of emotion and team chemistry...

Paterno will be at stadium for game vs. Michigan StateAssociated Press


STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Penn State coach Joe Paterno said Thursday he will be at Beaver Stadium for his team's regular-season finale against Michigan State.

The 79-year-old Paterno, on the mend from a broken leg, made the announcement on a radio show broadcast from State College.

"I'm feeling much better. I got out to practice the last three days," Paterno told Nittany Lion Hotline host Steve Jones. "I'm going to take a while before I am able to get up on this bad leg but I feel good, I really do."

Whether Paterno will be just a spectator or take on some coaching duties was not immediately clear. Defensive coordinator Tom Bradley and offensive coordinator Galen Hall have been substituting for Paterno since he had leg surgery nearly two weeks ago.

Paterno missed last Saturday's game against Temple -- only his second absence in 41 years as head coach. He broke a shinbone and injured two knee ligaments Nov. 4 after a sideline collision with two players at Wisconsin.

His other absence came in 1977 after his son David was involved in an accident.

A Penn State win Saturday would likely lock up a berth in the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla., on Jan. 1.

"I'm really excited, looking forward to it," Paterno told Jones via telephone from his house in State College. "I'll be there, I'll up in the press box watching. I haven't been up there since the first 16 years I've coached."

Ever feel like you made a horrible decision?

Scenario: We're playing soccer, 0-0 halftime. I was playing goal and made some solid stops but we had no offense. I switch with someone, we give up two goals and the guy injures his ankle. Why wasn't I content with a 0-0 tie?

I took a short "power nap" a little bit ago and had this really vivid dream that I had a stomachache and got a CT which showed "bile duct cancer." 😕 And while I was reading the report from that, and thinking that "we need a histologic diagnosis to confirm cancer you radiology idiots," I got a page from a SENATOR that 39 placentas just came in and even though that "sucks big time" they all needed to be done in the next hour. :laugh:

Edit: And, the 1997 championship was split between Nebraska and Tennessee. So, SEC = 2.5 and Big 12 = 2.5.

Silly Beary. 😉 I said the last 10, but Tennessee won in 1998. The first BCS year.

Michigan won in 1997. 🙂 Nebraska was only voted by ESPN (their only year voting) as champion. The Football Writers Association America along with the AP made Michigan the champions. 🙂 Are you going to deny Michigan that championship? The FWAA has determined who won the championship since 1954 (yes, Fifty Four!). ESPN only jumped on that one year and they bucked it up. 😉 Does not count just like USC's 2003 when LSU won it.

USC took the invitation to play in the Bowl Championship Series by entering into the Rose Bowl. They were not BCS champions, LSU was. USC only has the AP "championship," which doesn't matter. We switched to BCS in 1998. 🙂
