Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

It's just something I do. If I waited for someone else to do it, it would either be too expensive or never get done!

Plus, I'm such a penny-pincher that I'd rather do things myself.

I picked that fabric out over a year ago, and I guess I needed someone else's eyes to tell me that it still looks nice! Thanks!

i had a bad week, probably one of the worst of the year so far. on call last night, in the hospital today from 6-noon, health fair from noon-4......... just a long, bad week.

thanks guys. no anastasis, i have the rest of today and tomorrow off. my attending hates me though, like straight up doesnt like me. real quick short version, i met him on tuesday and worked with him 4 days this week. my first patient presentation on wednes or thursday was a total bomb, like i was so nervous i froze at times and my voice shaked. i hate starting off on new teams like that, it always takes me a few days to feel comfortable with everyone you know? i admit, the presentation was awful. so then throughout the week he asked me like 5 questions on rounds, i got like 2 wrong and answered 2 "i dont knows" and the one i answered right he was like "no thats wrong" until my intern pulled out her PDA and showed him i was right. regardless, i made a bad impression on the guy and on friday when i walked into the call room he saw me and within 2 seconds on seeing me i kid you not said "so wheres the good student?", referring to my partner on the team. the residents just laughed, so did he so maybe it was a joke but come on, if he didnt think that why would he say it? so my plan is to try to impress this guy this week and show him that i'm at least competent. if he makes more comments or whatever i'll talk to the clerkship coordinator to tell him ahead of time that this guy and i didnt click and to let him know that he basically made his mind up about me before really knowing me. if we let them know before the evals come in and the evals are aweful, apparently they dont hold it agaisnt us. so......we'll see. its just a crap situation and after he said that it just made my already bad week really crappy. i think i am so screwed next week when i have to give him my eval. sorry for the long "short version" lol, beary was basically bringing me down from my panic attack last night on aim. 🙂

i just cant wait until this friday afternoon when i'm done for 3 weeks, i dont think i've ever looked forward to a december break this much in my life.

Oh babe. I am so sorry. 🙁 What an dingus!! HOLY **** 😡 Do I need to come knock some heads together? You know I'm a pacifist but I'll make an exception for this guy. You know what's going to happen - you're going to totally rock the rest of this rotation and make him eat that crap little joke for breakfast. 🙂 That's what you're gonig to do. 🙂

Man - how much are you supposed to know on the first day of rounds? 😡

I just watched the shuttle launch from 60 miles away. First night launch in 4 years. I saw that prior night launch up close, but today's from a distance. WOW. So incredible. It lit up the entire area surrounding it. I will never get tired of watching it.

I have to drop my dog off to get groomed in a few minutes. Hubby is at church and the 3 year old is still sleeping (I think she's sick - she was having weird dreams and talking in her sleep all night) and I feel like a jerk that I have to go wake her up and put her in a freezing car. 🙁

I had a weird random dream. I was in the top 4 on American Idol (and no, I don't sing in real life! LOL) and one of the things we had to do was learn a piano piece and perform it. I was psyched thinking there was no way I could get kicked off since I've played almost my whole life, but I still got kicked off!

:laugh: Odd dream. And the scary part is that it's not the first time I've had a dream that I was on American Idol.

Awww, my niece just talked to me for half an hour and cried when her folks made her hang up to take her nap. 😍

I think I'm going to follow in my niece's footsteps and take a nap too. 😀
