Despite the threat of being banned by certain evil Randomite moderators on power trips, I couldn't resist posting a nice set of breasts.

Happy Thanksgiving Randomites!

Fell yesterday at work and broke my right elbow (hairline fracture, not in a cast). Feel much better today but am stuck here waiting for my ride (left my car at work and got a ride home).

At least I can rest my right arm and use my right hand for typing today! Last night my right hand was all numb and tingly. Still, going to be a difficult day I think.

you're still alive! although bearly now that you're on IR

it's so windy today, it was a struggle just walking outside

Yikes! Feel better.

I overextended my right elbow at boxing tonight and could feel bones grinding over each other. :barf: Now I can't extend it all the way....urgh.

your athleticism inspires me, jochi. I walked all the way to class from work (abt..... .05 of a mile haha).

night class sucks guys!!

Ha! I was athletically uninspired today. I could have gotten off the
Metro at the gym . . . I had the gym bag with me . . . but I just kept going. Oh well!

And yes, night class totally sucks . . . I had taken this semester off to work on apps, etc., but now that all that grunt work is done, I'm going back in January (and am not eagerly anticipating it!) . . . I would love to maintain the status quo, but I'm not that confident I'm gonna get in anywhere this year. So, while work is paying for it, I had better take some additional higher-level science class(es) and boost that science GPA a little.

Sounds like a solid plan. That's basically what I'm doing now. I have to take 10 courses this year anyway, for one of my top choices in Canada, but I've specifically loaded up on science to boost my BCPM. So far I have 3As bordering on A+ and one A+, so I must be doing something right.:meanie:

As far as athleticism, I went to step today...it was pretty good. I normally take Tuesdays off, because Monday-Wednesday boxing kills me, and if I work out on Tuesdays, I'm completely exhausted by Wednesday night. But with my elbow, I think I'm gonna take tomorrow off. I'm gonna come for the warm-up and strength training but skip the actual boxing stuff and do some cardio intervals instead. I've had this injury before (on the left arm), so I know it should be back to normal soon, but still, I'd rather not test it. Although it is very tempting....the coach was dropping "you're getting in the ring soon!" comments on Monday again.

It sounds like my friend who got creamed in Edmonton 1.5 weeks ago might not even get to fight on the 15th now, cuz he keeps skipping! He wasn't in on Monday again. I think the one coach convinced him that he lost because of the ref, although everyone else knows it's not true. The other guy, however, has a bit more common sense, so he said he is not sure he'll let him fight on the 15th because he hasn't been working hard enough.

That's fine by me...I can assume his place as their million dollar baby.:meanie: :meanie: :meanie:

BTW, I was just thinking how wonderful it will be to not have any lab classes next semester. The 2 labs I have now have consumed SO much of my time!

Just got 2 pairs of boots on Ebay....can't wait for them to get here! I have a wide calf, so I couldn't get anything in stores, and figured I'd give the internet a shot. There was actually decent selection on Ebay! I was gonna buy them from an official website, like Naturalizer, but it was like $90 for the boots, then $20 shipping, and then $20 duty! At least with Ebay, there's no duty, and combined shipping came out to $13 per pair.

Gave up the hardcore studying for verbal practice - made it through lengthy excerpts from Plato's Republic and Machiavelli's The Prince.

I thought the 4.5 hour a day study schedule was gonna kick my ass, but except for the slight carpal tunnel feeling (from writing about 50 pgs of notes in the last 2 days... plus the notes I'm taking AT school) i'm managing to get right back in the game.

pot roast + crock pot = dinner's gonna be woooooonderful tonight. 😍 *drools*
Mmmm! I should make something in the ol' crock pot...tender beef stew sounds so good right now! *yum*

This will probably disgust everyone here, but I'm currently savoring my favorite pickle/chicken heart/chicken liver soup.👍

Sweet! I'm loving this new Gap rule about being able to get a price adjustment if something you bought goes on sale within 2 weeks of purchase...I just called to check up on these 2 tees and a sweater I bought last week, and while the sweater is still same price, the tees have each gone down by $7.65! So I'm saving like $17 with tax and all! Gonna make a quick dash to the mall right now.👍

Maybe they have a red sweater in my size, too...last time they only had XL and M, so I got a navy one, since it was the only other color I liked that was actually available in an L...the navy is too nice to return for an exchange, so I might pony up the $ for a red one so I have 2 - I don't really have any nice sweaters left, anyway.

Quant Final tommorow, I am trying to convinve myself to study🙁🙁 Is their such thing as juinioritis?

I saw those at the store!

I'm going back to the crock-pot diet next week - not a real diet, but just so convenient for J. and I to be able to eat the same things that are healthy.

So, I'm going to pick some of those up and hopefully cut down on cleaning time!

I like the girl with the pearl earring with the santa hat.

How avant garde 😉

Why, thank you! 😀 I found a website that hosts Photoshop contests (worth1000.com), and the objective for type of contest was to take famous works of art and "holiday-ize" them. Bingo! I'll think I'll switch between this one and various others for the holiday season. 😎 There's also a contest to put celebrity faces on famous works of art. This is one of my favorites from that set:

It's titled: "How to chizzle in the renaissizzle..." So great!

I SO need to use my slow cooker more often! I've used it (drumroll please): once . . . in 5 years. I think I would love it if I actually got around to giving it a shot. I even bought a recipe book of easy, fantastic-sounding slow-cooker recipes. Alas, I am far more motivated to bake something incredibly complicated than to throw a bunch of stuff in a pot and let it do the work. I'm so bassackwards!

Yeah, I just found my slow cooker recipe book, I think I'm gonna make this "country italian beef..."

I think my problem with it is mostly that I have a small slow cooker (I live alone, so no point in making like 3 gallons of stew), which can make it hard to convert recipes - I always end up needing 1/3 of an onion or something.

Yay Durden!!!!!

I'm going on hiatus from SDN for a while.

You know you need a break when people you've never met start raising your blood pressure.

I'll be back to post when I get word from SIU.

Be good randomites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

😀
