I cannot stress that enough....gotta study all of pelvis, perineum, upper limb, and lower limb in 1.5 weeks.

Ok back to studying.
word, same here. stupid cellular and genetic mechanisms class. ugh. it's like they picked random points out of all the bio classes i've taken, and then resolved them down to such fine detail, and we're expected to memorize all this random stuff that doesn't fit together.

sounds like not much is going on today
pretty much nothing going on at work, 😎

Use variational theory to determine the upper bound energy for a harmonic oscillator given the eigenfunction...

ditto with the wtf!

I'm so tired of being productive... haha... but I'm sooo close to being done with bio/inorg (and really want to get as much as possible done before the new trimester - physics II/orgo/cell phys/a&d - starts monday).

Night guys... It's back to work tomorrow 🙁

Been a nice vacation. It'll be good to get back in the swing of things on a Friday and then have a weekend to finish killing as much chem as possible.👍

Man, this sucks! Midterm tomorrow, away for the interview Mon-Wed, midterm Saturday, midterm Tuesday....shoot me now.👎

Get used to it...that sounds like a med school schedule  except for the interview part.

Finally over the stomach bug I believe... At least the worst part of it. Time to get back on the stick on bio/chem and finish as much as possible before Monday.. plus read a bit more of Cell Phys and Orgo.

The baby we've been following died in the middle of the night after she contracted a bad infection. She'd been doing so well, so it made things extremely hard on her family and friends. Please keep them in your thoughts.

Oh, Gradu8, that is SO incredibly sad. I'm so very sorry to hear that. I'll certainly keep her and her family in my thoughts.

(By the way - congrats on the interview! I've been off of here for a week . . . totally hellish week work-wise, so I just saw your news. WTG!)

gradu8: i'm sorry about with happened 🙁 I was really rooting for that kid.

What the hell, they keep raising my credit card limit by $100 every 3 days or so.😕 Is this normal? It's the first time I've had a CC with one bank for more than half a year, so I've never observed the whole credit increase thing before. I thought they just increased it by X amount every 6 months, as long as your credit remained good.

Not that I mind the increase or anything.:hardy:

Thanks, Funk. I feel so bad for her family... the kid, no doubt, is happier than ever (heaven-believer here).

I'm finally ALIVE and not wanting to puke all over creation. Thank GOD. Ugh, that was miserable.

Sorry to hear about the baby, gradu8. A difficult time for the family, no doubt

Gradu8, I just got an A+ on my first microbiology assignment...I think some of your mad microbio skillz might have seeped into my brain while posting away on here.

Wooohooo! *shoots and passes mad micro skillz to jochi for rest of semester (i dont need em anymore, my class is over and my A+ is had)*

I start new classes today.. a little nervous but not too bad. One is practically the same (Phys II - just a continuation of first trimester hell, although I do like the material covered in II a bit more than mechanics), and then I have cell phys this morning (new, but prof I've had before). Tomorrow is ....

ORGO.... 😱😱:scared::scared:

I can so do it tho... even if I have to memorize it all.. I can do it.... *reassures self even though she isn't sure*

Also tomorrow night I have Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counseling. I figure after Orgo/Orgo Lab is a good time to go to drug prevention/abuse class, eh?:laugh:

So here's a fun bit of randomness. After I worked like a dog all last week, hubby and I treated ourselves to a trip out to the MO wineries yesterday (Sunday)! It was the most beauteous Fall day here, so we took the long way there through some gorgeous twisty-turny backroads (that he has cycled on a billion times and wanted to show me) . . . it was a great break from all of this med school stuff. 😀 I highly recommend a little fall excursion to anyone able to take a little time out for it. 👍

I was afraid to announce that we were planning to do this, though, because my sister-in-law is about ready to pop (out a kid), and I knew the second I told anyone about it, she would go into labor, and we would spend the day driving out to Louisville and sitting in a hospital waiting room instead of driving to small-town Missouri. 🙄 So selfish, but I wanted to go have fun, dangit! But anyway, now we can stop holding our breath, and she is now free to pop! (Random aside - I'm finding it a little odd that my husband is adamant about being there when they announce "ten fingers, ten toes!" in the waiting room . . . Really? He doesn't even like this sister very much! But I guess since it's the first baby in his family, he feels the need to show up. I think by the time it's our turn, no one is going to feel that need! We'll e-mail some pictures and that will be good enough. 🙄)

how's evryone else doing today?

Pretty good, actually. Today was the end to a long string of exams and practicals, four in all. I was exhausted, but glad it was all over. I was finally able to sleep after two days of all-nighters and a whole slough of days without good sleep. I went to class after my last practical and I nodded off like I never had before. It was embarrassing, especially since I sit in the very front row. I went home and slept like a rock for five hours.

Anyway, I had my worries and doubts, but I passed MSK. It's not completely official yet, but the preliminary scores suggest that I made it. 🙂 What a long battle. I'm completely worn out.

 congrats!!

Headed in to work for a meeting, then to cell phys, back to work, and to physics. I've got plenty of orgo to do tonight but I just got home so late from A&D that i didn't even begin it.

wtf?!? another school that shall not be named here lost my LOR and this time I have to resend it. 😡😡😡

Sitting at the airport on my way back from the Case interview (I had to book a return flight for the next day). EXHAUSTED! I did not sleep at ALL on Sunday night (drove out at 3:30 AM), so I was completely out of it by the time I got to campus Monday evening. Monday night, I slept 5 hours, and last night, I slept 6 - was up at 3 AM Alberta time.😴👎 I've got a microbio midterm on Saturday, still tons to study. I've got some long layovers and flights though, so I hope to get some studying done today.

On the upside, staying an extra night meant that I could come and sit in on my host student's PBL session, which was nice, since it was something I was curious about.

Hmmm, they have a Ben & Jerry's here at the Cleveland airport...I think I've got the answer to my troubles!:meanie:

Ice cream? Brrrr. Hot chocolate is more like it!! It's cold enough to snow here

Here too, and that's saying something!

Finally headed to bed after another hectic day. Orgo homework took a couple hours and I had a ton of other stuff to get done too... I'm so glad tomorrow is a short day. 👍

Night guys... 😴

It's taken us over a week to kill this page. We are teh suck. 🙁

It snowed in Mobile my first winter there. What I would call heavy flurries. People freaked out. I laughed.
