Was it Boston? They did that to me last year, which made me feel bad! 😳 Stupid open-ended "you don't have to write something, but write something if it will tell us more about you" essay. ARGH! I hate those!

no but in the NE yes. It was SUNY Downstate. I actually just got my email today from boston letting me know I'm complete as of today though. LOL

That's the best. I love how patients always give cookies for doctors around that time. At ACH they usually let us have some of them.

you are indian???? Wow didn't know that. I am vegetarian to a degree but not fully. I used to eat everything but gave it up myself and will only eat fish if absolutely necessary i.e. at a restaurant where vegetarian food is not present. Otherwise I'm pretty much vegetarian. Oh and I eat eggs but most non patel gujus don't really consider that meat that I know of.

My mom eats chicken. My bros and dad eat everything.

Man that Texas- Texas Tech game was a classic. Amazingly entertaining. I love college football.

Double word. I had an anatomy test yesterday that I seriously should have been studying for on Saturday, but the football was FAR more exciting/enticing than memorizing the axial and appendicular bones!

I didn't see most of the ND game, but the ending was brutal. I certainly felt bad for the kicker - it wasn't his fault that they lost. True to form, the offense just couldn't pull off the TD. Most alumni are quite rabid about ND football, but I was there in the Bob Davie years, so I learned not to get my hopes up but rather to be pleasantly surprised when they win. :laugh: It's worked so far, but that game made me get my homes up again - only to have them dashed. D'oh! Thankfully the Texas/Tech game was a good pick-me-up exciting game to watch, given that I had no ties/interest in who won or lost. 😀

Did everyone get out and vote today?!? I went at 6:15 this morning, but definitely should have gotten there earlier (dang snooze button! why can I not resist you?!). I waited an hour-and-a-half. Anyone else have to wait long?

I voted saturday for early voting, and funny story here.....

we waited 1.5 hours saturday and my dad went both in the morning and evening to our actual precinct yesterday and kid you not absolutely no one there.

I think everyone in Manatee Cnty did early voting

Were you a McCain supporter?? If Mitt Romney had been VP or even any better choice then Palin and esp. one that could handle the economic crisis and foreign relations better, it would have been a tougher decision for me on who to vote for.

I just couldn't stomach Palin's lack of experience and McCain's inability to focus on the issues rather then why not to elect Obama. At the beginning of last year it was all about me wanting Romney to be the Rep. candidate. But even so with McCain, just couldn't stand Palin more then anybody and the lack of focusing on the issues that seemed to be going on.

Okay so really I think both candidates weren't great. But I mean not to start a political war I think OBAMA will do some good and McCain just not the president type. And Obama will only affect the old, we still have pre-med med then residency so we got a while before we have to worry about Socialized healthcare, taxing 250,000 bracket. I voted for Obama and I have friends who voted for McCain no problem I just want a different USA and to get out of this trouble it is in, and I feel McCain will just continue Bush's reign with different provisions.

Is it me or does anyone wish there was a way we could get the better parts of different candidates rather then having one party or the other?

like I am not for socialized healthcare which is where I believe more in republican stances but I also believe that we need to get out of war, not spend so much on military, and learn to use more diplomatic relations and fix our own economy and jobs here before we save the world which is where I'm more democratic.

I don't know I wish there was a way to get the better half of both parties rather then one or the other.

Ha yeah "Gujudoc" we could totally use parts of different candidates. I want us to get out of the war, but in a sense we are so deep that it would take a while to remove ourselves from this wound that we have caused. Although pulling out of the war is possible, it would just take time. Secondly I feel like healthcare issue is important and I feel OB kinda of preached the socialized part a bit more. My attitude with this election is whatever because I sitll have a while to go before at least some of this stuff matters. I am liberal all the way I believe in the peace for this world. I was going to vote for Cynthia Mckinney green party member ha.

Just because he preached such doesn't mean when there are 2 wars, strained international relations, and an economic crisis, that that will be the first thing he changes. And again, even if it changes it won't be right away and if it doesn't occur right aay and no one likes democratic rule then things will change in 4 years.

Yeah I know all in the election went great, and the person in the office I wish them best of luck. Now on to a different subject how about that cheap gas, anyone thinking of taking a road trip before it rises again ha?

haha I know what you mean. I hope gas prices stay this way when people's jobs get better. The bad thing is that even though the gas prices are lower, so are people's salaries decreasing with it via pay cuts and job losses. So it is not like it is truly amazing. Once job pays go back up and the economy and demand for oil becomes more, then the prices will become more again. At least that's what I fear.

Anyhow, what else is going on?? Anything exciting?? I have a job interview Tuesday but let's see hwo hat goes. 🙂

Nothing just watched a movie called traitor pretty decent, waiting to go see role models but so expensive movies these days. Whats the job interview for if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah im too lazy to search I started to and decided against it. Its all good I am sure you did great if you got secondaries and are applying. So lupe fiasco is at my school weee!
