Mine is done!! Only one this morning. I have savored this semester...it is the last in which I will be taking ONE class! We graded our final in class today..I got a 21/24...but he did give a 4 pt margin, since the highest score = 20. So, I got my 20. I needed it, but now I have a B+. Ugh. I may have enough extra credit to throw it over to an A, so that will be good. Otherewise, I will just have to live with my B+. I'm not all that upset. It's HISTORY. I HATE HISTORY. I have NEVER done well in history. Don't tell me that it makes sense...it doesn't. 😕

Well SOMEONE PM'd me and I was expecting news so I had my password reset so I could log back in. AND I GOT TEH GOOD NEWS! :clap: I can't offically say anything yet though ... but I am studying. Really I am. One exam down, 3 left. *sigh*

one of our deans was the person grading me. they gave us 3 cases and we had to perform whatever physical maneuvers we thought the situation needed. i got just about every check mark AND finished 15 minutes early. the dean said i was excellent. 3 more days 'til the end of 2nd year. 😀

I got a first draft done of my personal statement. When I got done I so wanted to toss it because the writing blows in my opinion but I know having something on paper might actually help the creative process.

Within the next two weeks I will definitely be tapping those people who said they would read it. :meanie: just a heads up.

i have never been to the midwest - except chicago - does that even count??
omg i hope i see cows..i am going to Eau Claire - ist supposedly a big aiport but the flights there from miami are between $600 and $900
with 100 stops along the way..ok maybe more like 2.
Do you know what airlines are big out there? Is it cold? Do you think i will fit in and live happily ever after!?

DPG -

You can get a flight into Minneapolis-St. Paul for about $250 through US Airways or American Airways and rent a car from Budget for a hundred dollars or so.

Eau Claire is about 95 miles east of Minneapolis directly routed by an interstate (about an hour and 15 minutes away). Could save you some $$$ if you look into it.

Right now it's not too cold, but the winters regularly dip into the 10's - 20's during the day and -10 to 0 at night. But the winter sports are fun.

This thread has gotten very boring. Someone needs to post something screwy. I'll start. I was volunteering at the elementary school today, and there was a black racer (snake) stuck under the air-conditioning unit. It was pretty big, and so of course the fourth graders are all over it. We were watching some of the teachers try to get it free, which they finally did, and amazingly, the poor thing was alive. It had some cuts on its back, and it had been baking in the sun half the day, but besides that, it was in more than good enough condition to hiss at us with its most threatening hiss. 😛 I think they're going to take it to a wildlife rescue place.

my little sister got some chicken nuggets at a McDonalds in Maryland and one of them had part of a chicken foot in it. oh i was SO pissed--what if she would have eaten that? It would be different if I had been eating it but not my little sister--OH NO I don't play that. I chewed out so many people's asses that day including someone at the chicken plant. Here is a visual: chicken nugget with two toes and claws hanging out of it. I don't think I will be visiting mcdonalds for a very very long time.
