Damn radical neck dissections!

BTW, I checked my specimen load for tomorrow before I left, and one of them was called "partial maxillectomy" and it looked like the kind of specimen I would produce if I was a surgeon. It was in 5 pieces, with teeth floating around, pieces of mucosa there, etc. Clearly I will be able to determine the margins! I also had a hand amputation. :scared:

I love that feeling. Sometimes I almost hope I will wake up early before my alarm so that I can have that experience.

I am thinking of leaving all my burned out lights the way they are until my parents come back and asking them to replace them all. :meanie:

Ah yes, I guess he did see through my "friend" ploy.

BTW - I just found out today that one of the attendings here calls the specimens referred to as "products of conception" (miscarriages, D&Cs, etc) "products of injection" :laugh: :laugh:

I am the shortest person in the house and inevitably end up replacing burnt-out bulbs. I wish it didn't bother me so, because I'm not the one who leaves lights on all night.

UMich attendings... this reminds me. I have the lyrics to the Sprue song. Is this the same diarrhea song which you previously referred to?

I do not know of any sprue songs... the last week of the month I am on with the big league GI guy so I will ask.

I no longer think the femoral head is the worst specimen in pathology. Now that I have bandsaw skillz they are less objectionable. The worst specimen now is the amputated limb. Followed closely by the axillary dissection.

Professor: You asked the progression of epilepsy question at the beginning of class, didn't you?
Student: Oh yeah, I did.

The mythical breakfast of champions! For lunch! Excellent work. I have had no liquor today and should really be going to bed but I have to have my chicken fingers first. The reason for my late dinner? A combination of late signout, late grossing, and the damn phone again.

well my dinner consisted of 2 guinness, 2 glasses of wine, and a slice of pizza at 11:30 pm. then we played more Halo 2. my brain was reaching seizure threshhold.
 
Wasn't yesterday Friday? I have you all beat. In honour of the Canadian Match Day, my dinner was a cheddar crab soup and filet mignon with a glass of Cabernet alongside, topped off with a mocha ice cream chocolate crust pie! 😀
