next time you can try priceline name your own price! You will already have to put in your CC info before you get the tickets and you can't choose your airline and you may have a flight at the crack of dawn, but it's so worth it. A few days ago I got a roundtrip from middle of nowhere TX to CA and back in December for less than $400. Looked at regular prices for Southwest, AA, United, etc and cheapest I could find was around $600, so I'd say it's well worth it..

Part of me is totally paranoid something is going to come up in school suddenly even though we don't have anything going on right around then. Except for anatomy quiz the day I leave.

I am totally the same way, but I just keep saying nothing is going to stop me from going. I'm leaving right from lab (flight is around 5 or 5:30 from STL) and still gotta take that quiz, too.
 
BABY CARROTS.

They are my go-to study snack. I'm at the bottom of a 2lb bag...that I bought YESTERDAY.

I'm going to look like an Oompa Loompa.

1. i'm very jealous that you can consume carrots like that, i would love to like veggies that much!
2. i'm pretty sure you can't even become remotely round from eating carrots no matter how many 😛
3. oompa loompas are purple
4. please post pix if your skin and mucous membranes turn orange :meanie: (yes i know you have to eat a ridiculously large number of carrots for that to happen but i can wish all the same 😉 haha)
 
sooo I applied for 3 different volunteer research assistant positions….
hopefully I'll be able to get one of them and they're all pretty interesting to me
wish me luck, I need it haha :xf:

My hair is now red. The salon does a better job....if only I had the $$.

Now I want my bike license. Maybe I can get a late fall discount on lessons.....

Thank you for reminding me of something else that I've always wanted to do! *adds to bucket list*

Unfortunately, I have to stick with the crossing off the cheaper list items....:lame:




I'm a cluttered person and abhor tidying.....so if I start tidying, I have reached a dangerous level of procrastination.....
 
I suppose hair dye is a bit cheaper... But I agree, a shark dive is totally on my list. Sounds so fun!
 
I'm currently on the city bus to campus, reading "Rabid: a Cultural History of the Worlds Most Diabolical Virus" and my scrub top (I work after class) may have a blood stain on it. I think I may be one of those weirdos that nobody really wants to sit next to.
 
mom: "oh my gosh, your grandmother just left a message that shes taking her dog to the vet because he has pustules on his belly and she thinks its because she had her carpets chemically cleaned two weeks ago. ridiculous"

me: "um actually thats totally plausible..."

mom: "really? oh."

then there was some ensuing conversation about cleaning carpets with water vs cleaning them with chemicals vs not cleaning them at all. apparently my grandmother went with chemicals because someone told her that she would most certainly get a ton of mold if she went with water and not cleaning them wasn't an option. my mother is all about the water method ("i clean our carpets every 3 months and we've never had a mold problem!!!")

oh mother...:laugh:

Went to bed last night with slightly damp hair...woke up this morning with salon quality curls. Either I was sleepwalking and curled my hair, or a miracle occurred. Why couldn't this happen on a morning where I actually had to be somewhere?! Any other time I go to be with damp hair I wake looking like two squirrels had a fight on my head.

Because people who have more money than I do judge me for recycling.. That whole you should change an outfit up in some way mentality. I'm a poor vet tech so I can't do that lol

I need to remember on my next shopping trip to stock up on accessories instead of shirts and whatnot, I feel like they'll help me the most in the future for recycling things.
