Quick question guys. I'm talking to some high school students (mostly juniors and seniors) about applying to vet and wanted to see what you guys think I should add on my list of things to talk about:

Am I the only one that thinks you should just break down and cry, mumble incoherent phrases but throw the words "vet med" in the middle of it, and then have a friend come console you and lead you off the stage? No need for it to last more than 3 minutes, tops.

Do that, and then show them an estimation of dollars you actually take home per year after taxes, rent, and everything else compared to the amount of student loans you have.

Icepocalypse this weekend. Had today off from clinics, score! And we had a three day weekend anyway. Can't think of a better way to spend the 4 days off (and not being on call) inside with the dogs and my gf. Getting to play video games and watch Netflix all weekend. Yesssss

A brag is only good when you have photo evidence

I feel stupid but also relieved. All last weekend the plumbers were messing with the tub pipes that are shared with my neighbor after the main one apparently froze. I thought whatever they did had not worked as my tub was still filling with water during the week. Well, apparently, the last plumber who came in fixed the plug on my tub (it's the little lever type under the spout) which has not worked since I moved in. It did not even occur to me to try it. So, I feel stupid but at least I can take normal showers again.
