Mad Men
House, M.D.
Monk
Scrubs
Psych

What about White Collar? I've become rather fond of that program. Scrubs, OTOH, is fading fast. Should'a quite while it was ahead.

Middle is pretty good too.

How is "the office" not in this discussion?

1. Lost
2. House
3. Family Guy or Simpsons
4. Good Eats

What do you guys think about my #3? Family Guy is more consistent, but theres some occasional stuff on the Simpsons which is soooo worth it.

I'm was watching Good Eats earlier and now Unwrapped. Love those shows.

I agree - its tough to choose between Family Guy and Simpsons, although over the last few years have gravitated toward the former. Mostly because it seems like its always on.

Meh, it's not hard at all. The Simpsons should have ended 10+ years ago (although Family Guy has more or less sucked since they brought it back to life)

I totally forgot about food shows! I love Good Eats, and I had my parents watch the Christmas one. My dad was intrigued. Now that he's mostly retired, I think he found a new TV show.

I also forgot about Man Vs. Food on my original list. Though, I was severely disappointed in the Tucson episode. They could've gone to so many awesome restaurants that are known for being "Tucson."

Top Chef gets my nod for food shows!

1) The Wire
2) It's Always Sunny
3) Arrested Development
4) The Office
5) Battlestar G.
6) Top Chef
7) Lost season 1 and 2

I was disappointed when Man v Food came to my hometown as well - the final challenge was at a chain that didn't even originate there!

Also what terrifies me about that show is how much weight the host has gained since it started - if you watch the opening credits you can just see him getting fatter...

I went to the website once and it talked about his exercise routine and what he does to stay healthy. It talked about occasional lab checks too. I have noticed him getting bigger. My friends and I want him to come where we are now, but mostly because we want to try to get on TV. There's no good challenges though.

I think what he is looking for is a complete ranking of all residency programs in all specialties in the entire country. That should be easy to compile.

Ohhh.... In that case:

Hopkins >>>>>>>>>>>>>>UCSF>>>>>>>>>> Every other program in the country that doesn't really have a reason to exist other than to make their program director feel important.

I can't believe we even have to have this discussion.

^ Couldn't agree more... 🙂

ooooh... forgot about that one. thats up there.

Has anyone else seen The Middle on ABC? I was watching it this week for the first time, and I thought the part of the episode I saw was pretty good... especially with Patricia Heaton and the Janitor from scrubs (Neil Flynn).

then Modern Family was after it, and I was severely disappointed in that, since everyone had told me I'd love Modern Family, and I really didn't even like it.
