So in general is there any concensus on how many programs you should/have to rank to be pretty sure you end up matching?
Ya I know even 1 ranked program can match and even 50 ranked programs doesnt guarentee u a thing, BUT USUALLY what breakdown, I am not interested in the exceptions.

Completely dependent on the quality of the applicant and how competitive their field is. Derm will be a completely different number than family practice.

So it says the average matched applicants ROL is 7-8 while unmatched is 4-5.

Also depends how many programs you applied to, and how many interviews you were offered (and accepted).
