Owner says to son, "Why didn't he attack her?" AFTER I was all up in the dog's face, taking his temp. Thanks for the warning, guys.
Today, we had 3 70-100 lb. dogs come in at the same time because one of them may have eaten the owner's insulin syringe. I was one of 2 people taking the X-rays but I was also the one running back and forth with all 3 dogs from the room to the scale to radiology and back while wearing my lead apron. While we were struggling with the feistiest one on top of the X-ray table, with him kicking the crap out of me, another assistant sprayed down one of the cages next to the X-ray machine with disinfectant, said something, and walked away. I had no idea what she said because I was concentrating on the flailing dog that was kicking me and scratching the hell out of my arm. 15 minutes later I was cleaning up radiology, and someone else asked that assistant about the cage and whether it needed to be cleaned. She says, "I sprayed it down and told everyone that it needed to be cleaned but no one listened to me." Yeah, I was just standing there filing my nails, whistling a happy tune, and daydreaming about French fries and an ice cream sundae. That's why I didn't freaking listen to you, lady. It's not like I was busy or anything. Man, I just love working on Sundays.
