She's staying with a friend for the night (it's someone who I'm not personally a big fan of, but that's a different story), and hopefully she can move out soon. Part of the problem is that her living situation has been unstable lately (she's lived with a string of awful and unstable roommates, all of whom have chosen to evict her on incredibly short notice in ways that I'm sure are illegal if you actually look at the lease) and since she owns five cats finding new places is difficult. The current roommate wrote my sister an eviction notice today that was, I **** you not, hand written on a sheet of notebook paper and riddled with misspellings (I should clarify that my sister's roommate is also her landlord

). It gave my sister until the first to move out, but obviously with the way things are now I doubt that will work out at all.
Even better - I talked to my sister (and my mom, who called my sister after I told her about the situation), and the police didn't do anything because the roommate made up some story about my sister being the one to fight her.

So that's cool. I'm also worried about my sister's cats, as she couldn't take them with her when she left for the night. If her roommate does anything to them I have no idea what I'll do. I'm already unholy levels of angry at her for having the complete paucity of character necessary to strike my sister.
😡
And, as a bonus, my sister just sent me
ten minutes of recordings of her roommate yelling at her. It's probably a good thing at this point that I'm not closer to where they live, because I don't think I have the patience or the fortitude to remain calm around her roommate at this point.
🙁 This particular roommate has been one of the worst people to happen to my sister in a long time, and my sister ended up hospitalized on suicide watch over this woman and her abusive **** about three weeks ago and has been looking for a new place to live ever since. This woman is complete and utter scum of the earth.
I've also been trying to convince my sister to report her to CPS, because (surprise!) she treats her children the same way, if not worse. My sister is afraid of the retaliation that may get her, but we both come from a home that was far from supportive ourselves and I really don't think it's healthy to leave the kids there with just her. It's just a terrible situation all around.
🙁🙁🙁
If I may ask, how did the situation with your sister resolve? I'm terrified for my sister since I'm so far away, but I'm even more concerned since the person living the closest to my sister right now is my dad, and he's about 6 hours away.
