Hi all,

What would be some good reach schools for a person with decent EC's and research? My stats are mcat between 31-32 and gpa between 3.7 and 3.8 . I know reach schools are very unlikely but what would be some where I could get an II and maybe a high waitlist spot?

Or is it even worth applying to reach schools in your opinions?

Einstein/Keck/CWRU/any schools where your MCAT is at ~10%ile.

USC Keck is my favorite mid-upper tier, it is absolutely beautiful.

I'm not a fan of big reaches.

They don't need the donations that your app fees will be.

I suggest:

Miami
St. Louis
Albany
Rochester
Rush
Rosy Franklin
NYMC
VCU
EVMS
Wake Forest
Jefferson
Temple
Drexel
Creighton
Tulane
Loyola
Creighton
Any new MD school, except Hofstra and Central MI, FIU, FAU and UCF

Any DO program.
Your state school.

Rochester is the only one that comes to mind. If that's a 32 your MCAT is within 2 points of Hofstra as well.

Reach schools are exactly that, reaches - but you never know unless you try. You can throw a few in if you really want to, just make sure to have a realistic base first. If money is an issue then I would shy away from reaches.
