You may want to write a whole new personal statement. I didn't get in the first time I applied. I used a little bit my first personal statement but I definitely changed so much the second time around which made it 10x stronger. Make sure you get plenty of feedback and write multiple drafts. I had 7 drafts before I as finally 100% content with what I wrote. I had about 4 people read it and give me advice throughout the process. It helps getting advice and feedback from people who are in grad school or went to grad school because they have experience writing a personal statement, too.
