Hello,
I just had a brief question as I start my applications for OT school for the second time.
For those who are in or have been in my situation, what do I do regarding my personal statement and asking for recommendations?
I have been told that I should just make minor changes to my personal statement but for the recommendations, I am unsure as to what to do about it. What I mean is, do I just ask the same people I did previously to just send the same recommendation letter they sent in the past? Or do I ask them to write an entirely new one?

I'm reapplying for a second time as well. Last year, I asked 3 people to write me a recommendation. For this year, I asked 2 of them to re-submit a recommendation (providing them with materials that will help with the process - observation logs, resumes, portfolios, etc.), and asked 2 new people as well.
However, I didn't specifically ask for them to send the exact copy of the recommendation from last year

For my personal statement, I'm changing it up a lot since I'm now realizing it was complete trash lol, but I'm sure minor changes to it will suffice.

Hey. Sorry you are in this position. I had to reapply so I know how you feel. I actually did change up my personal statement quite a bit. I added many more volunteer hours too which, I think helped improve my personal statement. I gained more insight on the profession through my additional volunteering. Good luck!

I asked for a recommendation again, and my recommenders asked if I had any updates to share with them, new experiences I had, or additional schooling I did. I am not sure how much they changed in the letters, but I didn't specify that they needed to write a new one. Obviously I had gained more experience in the 6 months between application cycles, so they were able to talk about that Im assuming.
