hello...i am in confusion either to request new recomendation letters from nepal or not because the ones i brought are from may 2005...which means more than a year so will they still be valid...i am applying to nyu, boston, columbia, buffalo...east coast mostly...so wat to do?please advise!...😛

Most schools require that you have up to date letters , some even want you to have one that is one year or less old. My advice to you is to call each program and or go online that is where you will find the answer to the specific question. If you have any doubts then rule on the side of caution get new ones that have a 2006 date on it. In the event that you have to get a new one from where ever you graduated from then get on it and get it done don't waste time , I know what it is like to have to deal with a school that is kinda backwards in how they get things done especially if it is abroad as well. again relax and look at the websites of the schools you want , if it is important to them they will state the shelf life of your letters of ref.

I think only colorado asks for rec letters that are no more than a year old. 2005 letters should be no problem👍
