Looking to start an MCAT Prep course this week and take the mcat September 9th. Is this enough time to do well on the mcat? This is assuming a rigorous study schedule of around 8 hours a day studying.

It varies from person to person, but overall at least at my university, most students spend about 3-4 months prepping for the exam, usually without many other commitments going on at the same time.

8 hours is a lot for a day of studying. I know people do it (especially under time pressure), but I worry that would bring you to burnout soon since you have ~4 months of time.

I aimed to study 7-8 hours a day, but still slowly building up the attention span. Those who are able to study consistently for >6 hours, please comment on how you do them. Really would like to make my day productive!
