Hi everyone. I have a clinical vol activity for 3 years and it totals to 111 hours and another clinical vol for 4 years for 100 hours. I was wondering would that raise a red flag on my app since its so little for so long time? also I have 300 other clinical volunteering and 1000+ clinical employment for context. I would appreciate your feedback.

What did you do? 100 hours is 2 hours a week for a YEAR, so this is 40 minutes for 3 years for Activity 1, 30 minutes for Activity 2. Considering it is so little compared to the other two activities you list, why are you including them? It's unnecessary padding.

they are different clinical vol activities 1 is ER volunteer 2 is Underserved volunteer that only meets 2x per month

Were either of these activities a summer only or school year only activities or interrupted by the pandemic? If so, you can report the hours for specific time chunks (6/19-8/19, 6/21-8/21) which puts the relatively small number of hours in context.

For the activity that takes place just twice a month, you can mention that in the description.

Yes the one activity was disrupted by the pandemic. maybe i can just put from 2019-2021 would that make it better?
And thanks I will do that.

You could just omit the ER volunteer if you will be including 3 other clinical experiences on your application. It will not be adding much and you could use the slot for something else, such as a hobby if you did not include one yet.
I think this is probably what I will do. its so hard making these decisions. 111 hours was still a significant amount of time for me.
I would include the months so it’s clear there was a disruption, and it would be obvious it was due to COVID, or you could put ‘disrupted by COVID’ in the description

Ex: 7/2019-12/2019, 5/2021-10/2021.
Thanks a lot. Would I put this next to the activity name?

When you complete the application, you will see that more than one period of time can be used to describe a specific activity. There is also a free text box where you can describe the activity. That would be the place to say, "volunteering in early 2020 was disrupted by COVID" although most people would make that assumption if there was no explanation offered.
