For those who took the PCAT. How detail is the calculations for Gen Chem on the real PCAT?

Very basic and broad concepts from gen chem I & II. Because of the timing aspect and the nature of the test (very broad knowledge) they don't really ask any very detailed and specific questions regarding gen chem.

Exactly what the other person said. Buy a Pearson practice test to get a good idea of the type of questions. Don't worry about any long calculations - you won't see those.

The calculations don't get any more complicated than rearranging PV = nRT and basic stoichiometry. The numbers generally divide/multiply nicely, but you can always round them if they don't.

U will see ample questions of Gen. Chem, so u nee to be familiar with any stoichiometry calculations. in a given rxn u expected to find the product and need to know the connection of grams and moles

Do you remember what kinds of organic chemistry question there were?
People are not allowed to discuss any question that were on the PCAT. However I believe the Dr. Collins PCAT package chemistry section is a good studying tool.

i think if u covered the basic organic materials u will be fine, it requires u to know how to name and also to have a knowledge about the bonds of organic compounds. i found the org chem was easy as i had a good standing on both organic classes.
