Rejection for 2005 list

Just got my first 2 rejections today. Marquette and UMKC. Oh well. I figured that UMKC was a long shot in the fact that I am out of state and I didn't even send im my secondary but it still hurts, sniff, sniff.
 
i am so frustrated today. i received four rejections today from ucla, u of pitt, u of penn, and baylor. getting one heart attack can kill someone, but getting four in one day is record-breaking. :scared:
 
PAMA I'm so sorry. What are your stats? Maybe you applied to too many "reach" schools?
 
Am I correct in saying no one has received a "rejection" notice from stony brook yet? just checking.
 
hey, fruity. when was your interview at u pitt? mine was on jan 8th.

hi dentist 2 be, my stat are aa 22 ts 24 pat 20. gpa 3.4

Those numbers look great to me. Are you not a Cal resident? Maybe residency is why UCLA rejected you. Sorry to hear about your rejections.
 
Well, add me to the UPITT rejection list. What a bummer, but there is still time for others i guess. 🙁

for interviews in upitt, it seems to me good converstation with interviewer doesn't mean anything at all. i just don't know what they were really looking for in the half-and-hour conversation. 😕
 
Marquette....

Hell if TucsonDDS got rejected....I never stood a chance. I dont get that school up in WI. Well cheeseheads suck anyway...go Bears!
 
Just checked inforsource and I guess I forgot to add a rejections a couple of days ago, U Pitt. Oh well, who the hell wants to live in Pittsburg anyways.







PS The stealers suck!!!! Go Browns.
 
It looks like the adcomes finally got back from a long vacation down south and decided to reject everybody
I got the boot from U Pitt too 😡

if you dont mind me asking, was the UCLA rejection a letter in the mail or an email???

Same here, Marquette, they strung me a long like fish to bait. I hate that! Would be nice of them to say when I call that you've been rejected rather than you're on hold. down right sleezeballish if you ask me.

F'k!! Chalk up another rejection to the list: Pitt. Found out this morning on infosource. Ah well...Good luck to the rest of you! We'll all get in somewhere for sure. And when we do, drinks on me to those attending the same school as me!

And to those rejected from Marquette: How did you find out? Letter? Infosource?

Kentucky...I guess they have filled up all 10 out of state spots.

DIdnt even get an interview from Michigan, flat out rejection

One more to add to the list........got the 'NO' over the phone from Temple yesterday.... 🙁

Nothing in 4 months...and all of a sudden BAMM 2 in one week... :scared:

Thanks man, I'm pretty resigned to the fact that I'm not getting in anywhere this year, I'm looking into an MS program but I still plan on dental school down the road.

just hang on, and don't loss any hope at this point, the application cycle hasn't over yet. if you don't get in this cycle, just re-apply. life is just simple as that. 🙂

I'm not too down about it, I know I wont get in cause the only schools I have left to hear from, I havent even interviewed at, and I was in the first 1000 apps in the cycle. I appreciate the support, but I also realize that this is my 2nd time in the cycle, it doesnt make sense to "just re-apply" without doing more to strenghten my application, so I'm still focused on the goal, but I'm realisitic about the fact that its going to take a much longer road to get there.

i didn't know this cycle was your second time. i am wondering if you tried to find out what your weakness in your application when you didn't get in the 1st try.
if this year were my second try, i might do the same planning as you do.

UNC by letter on Tuesday. Oh well, looks like I'll be starting the whole process over again in May. 🙁
 
Same here. UOP my first rejection. Oddly I got interviews at every school I applied and got in all the ones I went to including UCLA, UCSF, Penn, and USC.

I shouldn't have bothered applying knowing that I didn't have a letter from a religious leader.
