What are the odds that a rescore will end up in an increased grade? Has anyone heard of someone rescoring, and actually getting their grades changed......

I'm really not too sure whether or not to shell out the money....... the odds that scoring was wrong are probably low.....but I only need one more mark to meet the cutoff here, and I fel that the biol and verbal were REALLY low compared to what I expected...... any thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing. I am going to go ahead and ask for a rescore on the verbal. I know I erased 3 questions, so even if one of them end up getting changed it could move me up a point. More than likely i am sure that there will be no change, but heck, after kaplan and all my application fees, i'll take the $50 risk for one point.

Good luck

i have no idea, wonder what they actually do at the rescoring.....

My verbal was not near as high as I had hoped. If we want to rescore, how do we do it, and how much $?

I heard of one person on these boards who got his rescored and I think that his score went down a point.

So does that means that mistakes are made, and there is an equal possibility that you can go up a point?

Also, do our mailed scores report exactly how much we got right in each section and what the cutoffs for each score was?? Because if this is the case, if you wait to see how much you missed the point by, you can see if there is a buffer in case you miss one or two points. Not sure if this is the case though.
