Retake my biochem course?

I was reading up on Goro's advice for reinvention and was just wondering if I should retake a D I had in biochem? I only ask because while it isn't exactly a prereq (I took it for my minor in chemistry), I still feel like it weighs heavily on my application. I could understand why I wouldn't want to retake a D in a non-science related course, just wondering if I should for this one. For reference, I got C's in organic, a B in my second semester of biochem, and a B and a C in gen chem (not my best subject).
 
Biochem is def a pre-req for most medical schools
Need a min of a 2.0 (C) in pre-req courses for most, if not all, US medical schools

Beware that this course will return in medical school.

I'm confident I'd get an A on a retake. It wasn't as much my grasp on it as it was my time management and ability to study for the tests (Chief Scribe in an ER as well as a time-consuming relationship that has since ended.) I always received great grades on homework and in-class projects, the tests were the main problem.

Sorry, I worded the question kind of strange, but I have taken two semesters in biochem, and in doing research on prereqs I see alot of "at least one semester of biochem" so how might this work? They will still see the second biochem in which I received the B, will this suffice for the one prereq? Should I still retake the D anyways?

I prob would... a 1.0 in a foundation medical course like biochem could be a red flag, and I wouldn't chance it.
