Retake the Dat?

Hey guys! I was wondering if I could get your two cents on whether or not I should retake the DAT. My scores:

PAT: 19
QR: 16
RC: 20
BIO: 21
GC: 20
OC: 20
Total Science: 21
Academic Average: 19

I feel content with every score except for the QR. Iv been hearing that this section really isn't as important as other but I wanted to just see what other people had to say about these scores.

Depends on the rest of application - gpa, EC's, shadowing, research etc...

Are you applying next year? If so, I would retake. Address your QR issues and knock it out of the park.

Are you applying this cycle? Then it depends on your GPA/ECs/etc.

My GPA is a 3.5 and my science GPA is a 3.3 but I think I will be able to get both of those up this year. I have a lot of shadowing under my belt already, I also do research at my university, and have a decent amount of EC's (tutoring, peer mentoring, ect...).

I heard QR is the least important section. You consistently got a 20 in about everything. Your GPAs while not stellar are fairly decent and you can still go up. This is a personal choice I'd suppose. Your TS is decent. If you think you can improve in all or almost all sections retake if not get your grades up and continue doing what you're doing 🙂
