  1. Pre-Dental
hi guys, this is more than just a 'should i retake a C?' question please bare with me. I finished undergrad with a horrible major (anthropology) and cgpa of 2.3 at ucla. i transferred from a cc where i got a 4.0 cgpa without any sciences at either. Well i took chem 1 at ucla and got a D (eligible for retake which i will do). Basically my cgpa is a 3.1. Calculus 1-3 i got A,B,C.
After getting my BA I planned to do pre-dental where i took physics 1 back at the cc, which i got a C. I know deep down inside dentistry is for me no matter what you say and i'm actually really mad i got a C because i know the professor is a racist, douchebag who saw me as a threat to the class. he literally stole my methods of doing problems and then failed my quiz/test score. I was in class looking at the solutions like "this shyt is mine". "It's not about the answers" he said I was damned if i do or don't because given the everything he asked for it was then "not about the thinking". Rant over - i know dealing with people is part of life - Somehow I can sign up for physics 1 again at a sister CC, and i am also signed up for physics 2 which i know i can get at least a B.

What is the best decision for me right now? I know C looks horrible especially coming back to a CC + having had a poor incoming gpa. (I know my professor put me just before the retake mark on purpose). Do not tell me to give up because i won't I know where I messed up in the past and as far as dealing with professors I'm already trying to put my head down and stay quiet.

I think the best option is an attitude adjustment. I doubt your professor(s) are grading your exams with bias, but if they are, we all just got a glimpse why.

I hate to say it, but all of us know that dental school is not going to be unicorns and rainbows. If you're having this many issues in undergrad, it's time to reassess your situation. If dental school is your dream, stop whining and do whatever you need to do to get it done. If there is truly an issue of racism/prejudice/etc. then you need to approach the dean of students.

"I know deep down inside dentistry is for me no matter what you say ..." "Do not tell me to give up because i won't I know where I messed up in the past and as far as dealing with professors I'm already trying to put my head down and stay quiet." This is classic defensiveness, immaturity, and a hint of "woe is me." Except that you're being defensive about what you think people *might* say... So, really, you're only putting yourself down.
