Hi,
I graduate in fall2008 with a BS in biology. I plan on applying for fall 2009. The problem is that I gotten a couples Cs in general chemistry, biology, organic chem, genetics and calculus. The rest are As and Bs. My school has a forgiveness policy which the only the 2nd grade is calculated into the GPA. I know pharmcas takes into consider of all the classes.

The forgiveness policy covers only for 2 classes (org chem and calc). For the rest of the classes (gen chem, bio and genetics) , should I delay my graduation and retake them or graduate first and retake them at a community college?

For pharmacy school purpose the grade forgiveness has no bearing since as you mentioned, all of your grades are calculated. I took several pre-reqs at the community college and found them easier. Retake the classes and ace them! I think that univeristy and community college doesn't matter that much. Are you going to get a job with your bio degree for the spring and summer? I worked as a chemist for a year before applying so, if that is what you want to do then graduate. I know that some jobs give you a raise if you have a college degree.
