Retook Orgo 2 and got a C-..

I am ready to apply in couple weeks with everything ready to go. I also graduated last week from college.
Orgo 2 has been my biggest challenge. I got a D+ the first time and got a C- retaking it. I did study harder.. I am 2 points away from getting a C. I emailed the professor if he can help me out since 2 points in this class was a 0.002%, but he clearly stated on syllabus that he will not round up.
I don't know what to do. I got 20 AA/20 TS on DAT with 20 orgo. It's just orgo 2 that is just so hard for me..
Has anyone heard of a person retaking a prerequisite the 3rd time? My other grades are good this semester with an upward trend. If I do retake it, then it will be this fall. Dental schools will look really bad on it though..

You're fine. I had a C in genetics (granted, rest of my grades were A's). You have a solid DAT score and adcoms will see the upward trend. Pivot towards you DAT ochem score during interviews if they do ask about the ochem grade. "I had a challenging class in ochem; though it was hard, it motivated me to study very well for that portion on the DAT test and I am happy with how I did on that portion of the DAT". Once you get interviews most of them just want to see how you are as a person (are you easy to get along with for four years).

I know and this is the problem. I had a list of 22 schools and I just went to all of their websites to see if they require orgo 2 and also if they have a minimum grade requirement. only about 10 schools only require 1 orgo..

The problem is that most schools require a minimum of C in prerequisite course. I just went to like 20 schools' website and only about 10 of them only want 1 orgo..

Then at these schools, you definitely have a shot but for others, I think youll have to retake.
