What do you guys think of Dr. Robert Simon's comment on VSP? (mentioning how VSP should not be able to disqualify a patient if they are less than 0.50D)

He is basically saying that the patient who has OD: -0.25DS, OS: -0.25DS
is in need of glasses. (as was mentioned in his example case)

What's everyone's comments?

-0.25sph is not an unheard of Rx. Obviously its far from blind but its not to say that it is not needed. Now 0.12sph would be justified in disqualifying. :rolleyes:

they bought a pre-paid discount (basically a coupon), they should be able to get plano sunglasses if they want to. VSP is a discount eyeglass plan, not a health plan.
