Hello,
I am so glad to have found this forum..I am a neonatal nurse interested in further education (masters degree) but would prefer not to become a nurse practitioner. I think I would eventually like to work in research. I like how some MPH programs are. My question is, well, any thoughts on this? Does it make sense for a neonatal nurse to get her MPH (I really really want to stay in neonatal)? Thanks all. T.
I have been looking at Johns Hopkins. (what are their gre req?)

I will tell you that there were quite a few nurses in my MPH program. Also, I currently work for a state health department and many people in my division (Child & Adolescent Health) are nurses by trade who also have a MPH. A growing field that you may qualified for is genetic screening and counseling; newborn screening; etc. The options are endless in my opinion.
