So anybody got some good leads on the best way to finding a roomate for next year? I'm going to DMU or MSUCOM next year. I'm a Christian and would like to room with another Christian if possible.

Hey Eschauberger,
I just wanted you to know that I love your CS Lewis quote. I'm going to attend Touro so I can't offer much advice on your roommate plight, although I'm going through the same thing myself. But I know you'll be given a great roomie. Anyways, thanks for providing me with another quote to throw around.
Best of luck with all,
Supergirl 🙂

Hi. My name is Danielle and I will be going to MSU-COM next year. If you decide on MSU, please email me at [email protected]. A bunch of us that will be in next year's class(I think about 20 now) are keeping in contact with each other through email. We have a roommate list so that would be helpful to you as well. Also, if you decide soon, we are planning to get together next friday; actually, you can come even if you haven't decided, maybe we can help you make up your mind 🙂 Well, good luck with your decision!

Actually, I should specifiy. I was accepted into MSUCOM for next year, but I am one of those lucky out-of-state students, so if I go there, I am defering (I have already sent the cover letter with my deposit) until next year and am going to get a lab job or something to gain residency. It's 20k/year, so over 4 years it's 80k (+interest!!!). I think it's worth a year.

Forgot to mention though.... still would be interested in living with another medical student, so put me down on the list.

Hey Eschauberger and supergirl71720, like the both of you I would like to find a roommate that will be a positive influence because I am a Christian as well, and it's the most important thing to me. I'll be going to Touro in the fall.

Eric,
I will be attending DMU next year barring that I don't hear positively from USUHS. I am also looking for a good christian roommate. I submitted the roommate form but if I don't have to go through that process that would be great. Have you made a decision on where you are going? If you want to get in touch with me email me at [email protected]. Later!

I know it sounds weird - but one of my close friends had great success finding a roomie through roommates.com

Good luck! 🙂

Good luck finding roommates!! I actually found my LECOM roommate on SDN!!!

deebee,
I'm going to be at Touro also, so I'm looking forward to meeting you. Especially now that I know we share two things in common....our faith and our future occupation.

so are you a Mariners fan?!

Hi everyone, I will be attending the UHS in August and I am looking for a roomate as well. I am a Christian, although I do not observe the faith as much as I would like. Sometimes I even skip Sunday services. But in all I am a good person. If there is anyone interested please e mail to me at [email protected] or post here.

Thanks

Jason

Goodnews, the girl got into Vet School at MSU, so that's good. What roomate sheet are u talking about? I just went through all of my stuff and didn't find anything. I would say that sounds good for rooming this Fall, but I can't commit for sure yet.

aaah? not a nice thing to say....what difference would it make if your roomate was muslim or hindi or atheist. Alot of people respect each others belief especially here so don't set it as a condition(i know you stated "if possible" but i just wanted to say it )

Choosing to live with someone is oceans apart from treating someone in a clinical setting. It is easiest to live with a person that shares your viewpoints---and my biggest viewpoint is just that. Sorry, but I diasagree with you on this one.

Hi Teri, my name is Donald (deebee) and I'm looking forward to baseball season starting up again. I've been to a lot of games at Safeco Field. It is a nice ballpark and hopefully the mariners will have it together this season.

Hello Donald,
I went to a Mariners game once. It was back when Ken Griffey Jr. and Sr. both played for the team. Ha, that dates it a bit, eh? But baseball is great. I'm an Orioles fan (although Cal sure is missed). I'll have to get into a Cali team!

ArmyDoc,
Thanks for the headsup on that form. I'll let you know a little more about my plans in the next couple weeks (if you are still interested in rooming), but I wouldn't count me in yet--in fact keep looking (so I don't mess up your plans).
