Yes, next to the status of your application is a checklist with boxes that include transcripts and payment.

After you submit your application, you’ll get an email and see your application status and checklist. You can check to see if they were submitted. Takes like 24-48hrs for things to be updated.

I’m in the same boat! I’ve never had a “view status” button or a checklist on my dashboard for some reason. I just emailed admissions to see whether all my letters have been sent yet/why I can’t see that information. I’ll let you know what they tell me

This appears after you submitted your application.

Did you get it after you submitted the application, or after you submitted the fee? I’ve already submitted my application but was waiting to submit the fee until I knew they had everything else.

you can submit your application and then pay the fee later. I waited until everything was received prior to paying the $150, since like you said, it would be unfortunate to pay it all for nothing.

Well, they replied to my email that said I don’t have a View Status button by telling me to click on the View Status button 🙃 At least there’s a phone number in the email that I can call, but they’re closed by now so I’ll call on Monday.
Just to be extra sure I’ve got this right: is anybody here able to see your checklist who has not paid the $150 fee? Or can you only see what’s been received (application, transcripts, letters of recommendation) after you pay the $150 fee?

I was able to see it prior to submitting the $150. I'll attach a screenshot where to locate it. When you click on the "view details" a short checklist will appear.

Has anyone's view status changed for transcripts? I requested from national clearinghouse and it was sent to Rowan University on 12/16, but my portal hasn't changed for over 24-48 hrs. I emailed the admissions team and they haven't gotten an answer back to me yet.

I did send transcripts and have them update, but only half (I have 4 schools to send from). They did delay the transcript deadline to 1/15- maybe they’re backed up?

I sent my transcript to Rowan University on 10/22 and I found out yesterday of course that it’s not checked off on my checklist somehow. Did I do something wrong— I didn’t see a specification for their vet school so I just sent it to their university in general? I sent my transcripts directly to their veterinary email, which I believe is listed in their transcripts email they sent out. You click on the business/other option for who to send it to.

Did you send via Parchment or a different service? They sent an email on 12/4 with instructions on where to send the transcript according to which service you are using.

I just found out there was directions oops, but I did do it correctly for Parchment so I don’t know how they can’t find it lol. I resent it yesterday so hopefully that helps

I hope so! I had to resend my Parchment transcript to VMCAS back in September, so maybe it was a them problem 🤷‍♀️

My LOR from my veterinary office manage/veterinarian (I wouldnt ask my DVM to write/submit it lol so the office manager wrote it on his behalf) was submitted through a different email than I listed (I gave the application her email but it was submitted thru the office email since it was submitted on a work computer) and I emailed Rowan and they said they would make a note of it on my file. My office manager is on vacation now (she went on vacation a few days before christmas until the new year) so she cant access the email with the letter to resend it. Do you guys think I just wasted $150 on an application fee or maybe they will be lenient? My other two LORS are in and my applicaiton and the fee, but I'm scared it will be disregarded 🙁

If they said they’ll make note of it, that sounds to me like whoever you spoke to will at least try to make it work. If she’s out of reach, there’s nothing to be done about it now, so I’d say try not to worry about it (understandably stressful, though). If it’s the office’s email that she ended up sending it from, surely that’s credible. I hope they take it for you!

they said they have to hand change the status for each person then the portal takes about a day to update, probably giving themselves some more room to get everything set when people are off in colleges for the holidays

I cannot find anything on this 🤷‍♀️ UTK also does virtual interviews and they only notify us the week before, so I’m guessing the absolute latest we would hear from Rowan should be the first or second week in February. I really hope it’s sooner, though!

Maybe an automatic message since they said things submitted within 24 hours of the deadline need time to be updated?

I didn’t get any email, for reference I submitted my fee and transcripts 12/28. Not sure when they started having technical difficulties. It probably wouldn’t hurt to call them and check whether there’s anything you still have to do

I would definitely give them a call. When you go into your application does it show them as being received?

I got an email about payment being received but nothing about LORs (my LORs were sent in October though)

FYI, I sent my transcripts over two weeks ago, half showed as received but the other two did not. I reached out and apparently the SSVMtranscripts email isn’t accepting Parchment transcripts for some reason. If you did send transcripts via Parchment just check and make sure they have them.

I sent mine before they updated their website about this issue, so if I still want to be considered I have to resend them, though their website still mentions the email so just send to Rowan University to be safe.

They told me that they are having trouble getting it from national clearinghouse and requests me to ask the registar to send it through email. I don't think its possible for me since I graduated in 2021 but they won't accept the official transcript I bought myself from national clearinghouse smh

I had a transcript sent from clearing house last month and I personally did not have any problems with it being received. But, it took a few days longer than it did from parchment

For me, not national clearinghouse, but parchment. I honestly didn’t appreciate how they acted as if I did something wrong (utilizing the email at all) when I was following directions, they instructed me to repay to send when I sent receipts and just inquired about transcript receipt, I just decided to not resend.

They now have an update about their transcript email not working with parchment but that wasn’t up at the time I sent it. Every other school that I sent parchment transcripts to received them. I understand things go wrong, but I just didn’t appreciate the interaction. Not a single, “very sorry about that, there’s been technical difficulties with set up,” just saying it was my fault for sending to a transcripts email listed on the website under transcripts. I get that they’re probably frazzled and getting a ton of these emails, but it was a frustrating process with a clunky portal, and this was just a final interaction where I decided I was done.

It's so frustrating the way they are handling it! I don't particularly want to pay another $10 to resend it especially when I have all the receipts. I'm not sure why they can't accept the one I bought from national clearinghouse because it is officially signed and stamped.

They won’t accept the one you bought for yourself because you can temper with it. Which is why you have to request it to be sent directly to them. It definitely sucks. Maybe try sending them a screen shot of the receipt and ask them to resend it

I successfully figured it out! My school told me that Rowan has been having issues receiving transcripts so definitely a system technical difficulty on their end. I thought all electronic official transcripts were locked and certified to prevent tampering?

Honestly, they should be, but once you download it to your own computer, the school doesn’t know if it’s tampered. Glad you got it figured out!

the second i called she knew exactly what i was talking about and said that there was nothing she could do.
as a IS applicant its disappointing that this school is so narrow-minded and horrible at communicating with having to use a completely different portal for applications.

therefore rowan wont even look at my application now since she cant forward her original email

I’m really sorry to hear that. That is very frustrating. I’ve also posted higher in this thread about being disappointed with their disorganization and ultimately professionalism when help was needed. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that too.

Wow I am so sorry to hear that. I'm especially shocked that you're an IS applicant they refused to work with you on THEIR error. I am also a fellow struggling IS student with their admissions office. Breaks my heart to hear you are at this point.

I’m also an IS applicant, and I’m sad to see their treatment of others with application issues, especially considering their complicated portal with competing instructions, emails that don’t work as intended, etc. Extending some grace to applicants with reasonable errors within this first-time process would show a lot of character as per the school’s support staff.

Especially because so many of the application/LOR/transcript errors are the result of issues on Rowan’s end. There should absolutely be some level of flexibility on both sides, knowing this is a totally new school with a unique portal, etc. I am just disappointed in Rowan. It’s their moment to show how supportive they can be as an institution and they’re not really acing that test.
