For anyone considering applying to this school listen up. I got admitted to the spring class, and I didn't have the best grades.
2.8 overall and 2.9 science. A few f's in non bio classes. a few withdrawls. 3 classes I retook. 1 D.
I was an emt, had another professional license and interned for a physician for a year.
Gre score 158/162 verbal// quantitative, 5 on essay.
Got accepted a week after I submitted. Most of these posts say you need a certain gpa you dont. They need people who did bad academically, it's how they make money. Second if you have good ec's, and can write a kicK ass personal statement, you should be fine.
I say this speaking on behalf of everyone that found success after going through this program. Your resume as a professional in the medical field showed them your serious intent to pursue medicine and THAT'S precisely why they chose you. Not just for the reason that you didn't have "the best grades," because Rutgers does NOT waste their time on people that don't reflect inspiring potential. You definitely sold yourself short and completely missed the mission that this school has in giving people that have stats like yours a chance. Shame on you for perpetuating the misconception that "Anyone with bad stats can get into a program like this." It takes MORE than that. I hope that you understand the mission now because this truly is a GREAT program and if it's something that will ultimately help you get to where you aspire to be, then you should definitely be humble and appreciative of a type of program like this rather than indirectly insulting the essence of everything that it stands for.
