You picked the wrong fight on this one. Although your idea sounds great in theory, the reality is egos can make your life hell on a day to day basis. Nobody says don't do everything you can. However, it is stupid to make life unnecessarily difficult for everyone because you have no social sensibilities. If you are deft you can do both.
