I found this in the 4th year clerkships catalogue for a medical school in Atlanta: "Many more diagnostic skills will be acquired at the consultant service, which will inadvertently prepare students for a future career in cardiology"

And yes - I realize I am a dork for looking through med school catalogues when I haven't even started my bachelor's degree...

That's funny...my 3rd year internal medicine clerkship "inadvertently" prepared me for a career in surgery.

fourth year clerkships are bunk anyway, mainly a way to pass time without causing too much trouble.
