Do any DO schools offer substantial scholarships? Maybe something with a stipend?

Why did ya choose PCOM over a 20K school that is giving you 16K already?
Just curious.
fullefect1 said:Ya that is kinda odd. I defenitely wouldn't have went with the lower tuition.

My school gives a $10,000/year grant to students with at least a 30 MCAT & a GPA requirement that I no longer remember. To keep the grant each year you have to maintain a 3.0 GPA.
mollybo said:Just clarifying - the stipend is for the DO/PhD program only?
I'm pretty sure I don't want a PhD, but that grant would take the tuition down to something downright affordable for an in-state student.
DrMom said:The grant is something that the school offers in your acceptance letter if you qualify. There are many options out there for $$, so if you haven't yet talked with Dana you need to do so ASAP. 🙂
mollybo said:You know, I probably should talk to Dana because if she's who I think she is, I'm a cousin of hers. 🙂 That whole side of the family doesn't know I want to go to med school; I won't apply for a couple of years.
AshDO said:wait..you wouldn't have gone with the lower tuition or you would have..because you said it was odd but then you agreed with me..maybe it was just a typo..
