School decisions not via email

Waiting to hear back from 18 schools is making me slightly paranoid that a decision would be made without my knowing. Has anyone not received an email regarding decision but logged onto the school website to check the status of your application only to find out a decision had already been made? And if so, please indicate which school(s). This should be helpful to other people as well. Thanks.
