ok so school is about to start in 3 weeks and i have yet to accomodate anything. orientation is aug 2nd, do i havet to have all my money paid before the first day of classes? was i suppose to apply for fafsa already because i didnt cuz i just got off a waitlist recentely. do they go over financial aid during the first few weeks and finance us or are we just on our own in ternms of expenses?:

someone please help me out

No. They typically let you go to school for several weeks before they figure out if you can pay or not.

So I guess you changed your mind and decided to accept the offer
You should fill out FAFSA asap, so that the dschool can process it and give you the award package

Are you going to Nova? No, you don't need to have tuition paid. They will take it out once they receive your aid. There will be presentations about virtually everything during orientation, and actually more than you want lol. Yes, you will be on your own at first

ok so tomorrow im gonna fill out my fafsa asap. what then? will i receive less aide because i filled it out so late? im really broke and have no money. i cant even borrow from family at the time. luckily i have a place to stay for a few weeks until i get my apartment, but what about books, instruments, and etc? do we have to cover all that ourselves?

this past year i made about $10k on paper and my mom made about $25k. obviously we are not on the higher end of the income spectrum. i have really good credit, will dental schools finance my loans 100%? has anyone not been able to go to dental school because they couldnt afford it or get loans for it????

You're okay just stay calm. I highly recommend talking to your general and major counsellors at your school to see what else you should be doing and preparing for.

Also call the financial office for any questions. Unfortunately students on SDN can't really answer questions particularly to your college, unless they attend it.

1. Fill out that FAFSA immediately. Be sure to use the right school code.
2. The Federal government finances your loans, not the school. That is unless the school offers you some scholarship/grant.
3. After you have filled out the FAFSA, there are typically three types of loans that will be offered. I doubt you will get less money for applying late, good question to ask the finaid office. For the grad PLUS loan, the financial aid department will likely require you to fill out a loan application. Basically this means you need to qualify for the loan, but you said you have good credit anyways. Just know that you should probably fill out this app asap.
4. Don't be a stranger with the dental admissions people or the financial aid office, you probably have a big list of items to knock out before orientation. Not just money.

Good luck and congrats.

Call your school's financial aid officer..... why would you want to ask other predents?
