Hi all,

Could we start a list of schools where you actually need to check the status website to see if you've gotten an interview invite?

Do we really need a list of schools for every single detail? I'd say most schools alert you of an interview, you can't expect all applicants to always be checking the status page

Yeah, maybe. But it seems like at least a few don't, so was just hoping to be aware of what those ones are.

I hope that any of those schools at some point would realize noone is confirming their interview dates and someone says "maybe we should email them."

From my experience,

SUNY downstate called me first before sending an email ~1 month before the scheduled date

SUNY Upstate updated my status to invited for interview but I didn't receive an email about it until like two days later.

We don't need official list but it'd be a good idea to warn people for this and I guess the best way to do it is to make a list, so yes..I appreciate Mr. Panda's suggestion...however i do agree with ur sentiment about schools who don't send direct notifications.

He didn't explain how UCI contacts people if not by email, I was wondering how they contact us then.

ESP usually.

sometimes, they send a text message though. Luckily, you can text back STOP if you quickly want to withdraw your app.

They've been sending all of their messages to me via carrier parrot. I'll just be walking out the door in the morning and then a sweaty, exhausted parrot will land on my shoulder and start squawking updates at me for the rest of the day.
