I've heard many schools look more closely at your science gpa. I have about a 3.1 or 3.2 gpa in science but a 3.5 overall gpa. I know we all hate the what are my chances threads but I was wondering just how big of a deal this is to schools. The problem is I don't have any grades below a B just mostly B's keeping my GPA down so the courses aren't really worth retaking. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Also does Pharmcas calculate science and math together or is it just science?

I had the same situation. A ton of B's in science prereqs, most B's as the matter of fact. Didn't prevent me from getting 4 interviews and two acceptances. UOP could also be an acceptance down the line, I am on hold there.

GPA is definitly not everything, with your GPA you will certainly get interviews, instead of worrying abt that, focus on pharm experience and think abt what u will talk abt in ur interviews.

can I ask how many schools you applied to and where you got interviews?

A 3.1/3.2 is about average (depending on the school) so you should be fine. I agree you shouldn't re-take anything, but maybe you could take some upper divisions if you feel you need it. Of course, that depends on where you are in your pre-reqs. If you've taken a lot, it's harder to move your GPA. I agree with stevey that you should be fine with a rounded application.
