I have been trying to calculate my science GPA and I'm not sure exactly which classes go in. Obviously, gen and organic chem and physics. But I have also taken human physiology, pathophysiology and clinical chemistry which was basically biochem. Do those count as well? 😕 and all of the labs too? Thanks!!!

Thanks... something so simple just made my day... and my GPA go up!!

What about certain engineering classes? For example, i have a class that's really thermo 1 but on the transcripts it's described as chem eng oper 1, but thermo 2 (still designated as a ChE class) is explicitly called thermo 2? do i put the thermo 2 and not 1? and if i put these engineering classes do i have to put all/most of the others? will it cause amcas to move them all (i know we don't really know what goes on in their minds, but any speculation? ). i don't want them moving the engr classes and have them bring down my bcpm gpa haha!

Your math grades count as science gpa also. The "C" I got in Calc (5 hour class) killed my gpa 😡

don't know about stats. ask premed advisor board at school. My stats class was catalogged as a psych class for some reason. I know that the alg/trig and calc classes counted for science, but that was according to my premed board, don't know what amcas will do.

don't mean to hijack the thread, but i have a q. along the same lines...
i've been hearing conflicting stories, so i thought it wise to ask:

do my science labs go into my science gpa?

Yes, definately
