I've been doing the daily readings at Scientific American as suggested by Ari's Study Schedule, but I can't help but feel like the articles are not reflective of some samples of readings in the DAT that I've seen in different examples.

For example, I read this article recently, and I would not expect anything similar in the testing passages. Is that incorrect?

I went to the library and read the print version of SA and Science, and Science articles seem to be more along the lines of the different examples I've seen.

You could literally go pick up a magazine and read that and you would be getting the same benefits. It's simply meant to improve your reading comprehension time. Not to familiarize yourself with specific science topics.

Thanks for the answers guys. I was a bit worried about it because I do fine on the Reading comprehension for the most part, but really wanted to hone in on getting info out of denser science articles. I'll stick to carefully choosing the article to read on Scientific American.
