Scrub Top + Khaki Pants

You can actually get a really good deal if you know your size on ebay. I have gotten two pairs.

Have seen a 1200 pair go on ebay for about 550! (there are cheaper versions.)

Mine are very comfy! In fact, wearing them tonight when I go in. I'm just kind of in that mood.

I agree that there needs to be more professionalism for EPs. The patients have to be able to identify us as doctors. Consequently I continually refer to my self in the third person as "the doctor" in a loud baritone. I demand the same of my staff. I wear a 1 foot tall gold D on a chain around my neck and I stuff socks in my shorts so everyone can tell I'm packin' large.

Forget the socks...Pack a liter of LR that's been warmed in the trauma bay

Am I the only one who wears scrub bottoms WITH cargo pockets? The best of both worlds.

When I became night shift charge nurse in the ED, I wore khaki cargo scrub bottoms and olive drab scrub tops. It wasn't an approved uniform at our hospital. It should have been, though, cause it was functional AND I looked damn good in it, too!

Thaz coo....keepin' it real fer shizzle con dizzle.
It wasn't a chain, though (at least in your hospital photo badge you wear.) I though it was a clock. Aren't you sportin' red scrubs now?

No. I see why you are confused. You can tell by the eye protection and hair covering, that's what I wear for trauma activations. My standard outfit is much flashier.

Niiiiiiiice. I like the eye protection. Does the big clock ever get in the way and dangle in the patients' wounds?

Is this, by chance, your standard costume? (Notice the big "D" on the front?)

I wear the spandex suit under tear away scrub top and khakis. When codes or criticals come in I rip the outer layers away with great fanfare, yell "Da, da, DAAAA!" strike a pose...aka...holding my hands on my hips proudly and charge into the room with my spandex suit. Bright green with a green and red cape,[/B]fuzzy orange pants, and a white belt BTW. I stuff the crotch of the spandex too. It went horribly awry one time when I was doing the tear away bit but I grabbed the spandex and ripped off the whole suit without realizing it. I left the whole thing in a pile including a mass of crotch stuffing socks and bolted into the room buck naked. "Da, da, DAAAAA! I'm DocB. I'm here to save you!" I yelled. The nurses are kind of used to this type of thing happening to me so they shrugged it off. The patient didn't take it too well. I was able to get out of that one without becoming a registered sex offender though so alls well that ends well I'd say.

 So the post above IS your standard uniform!

Well, if you've been keeping up with things in the UK, there are no more watches allowed in hospitals there (nothing below the elbows) so a big clock around one's neck might be the best way to take a pulse.

I'm sure that was exactly DocB's reasons. He's a superhero, so...you know the drill.

Okay, I just can't resist. It's a gift. 😀 How do I find these things so easily????

Do you wear this one during your motivational speeches to the med. students?

Okay, that's enough... gotta go back to working on my research paper. 🙄
