Here's a short list of how to's for fellow SDN members! If you have any additional questions, or think something should be added please feel free to add to this thread.

How to post a new thread:
Once registered, any member can post a new thread. Go to the forum that you wish to post in, then look for the "Post New Thread" button at the right upper corner of the thread list. Here's an example:

How to adjust your privacy settings:
You can change the amount of personal information you share, such as your date of birth. To make changes, click here.

How to send a PM / Start a Private Conversation:

Click on any user's profile then click "Start a conversation". This feature is also available from the full profile, under the "Information" tab. Or you can click here. To choose who may send you a Conversation click here.

    How to change your username:

For donor members, changing your username is permitted up to 3 times. To do this, click here and fill out the form for the username you wish to use.

    How to change your signature:
Established members can have a custom signature. To create or edit your signature, click here.

How to place users on ignore:
Although SDN encourages open discussion and sharing of ideas, sometimes there are members that you just don't want to interact with anymore. You may place them on ignore: click here.

    How to become a donor:
Is SDN helping you achieve your goals? Consider donating to support the non-profit mission of SDN. Although there are no requirements to donate, benefits include removal of advertising which can speed-up your browsing experience (waiting for Google Ads to load can take a bit of time). To donate or find out more information, click here.

Why are there some posting restrictions on new members?
Unfortunately a few individuals spam or otherwise abuse their membership privileges. Therefore, new members are started in a probationary status to ensure they understand how to be a productive fellow member. This improves the overall forum experience for all members.
