Anybody finds the U of Chicago's third essay a chore? Something like: please meditate upon the our holy mission statement. After genuflection is complete, proceed to prostrate yourself at our feet and explain how a GREAT fit you are to our most exemplary institution.

Yeah...I'm not a big fan of any of the essays on that secondary! The whole thing has been kickin' my butt...then again, what part of this application process hasn't?!

I don't think withdrawing now from Georgetown is a bad idea. If it's not a school you can really see yourself attending (and, FWIW, I definitely think you'll get in somewhere in Texas), no point in wasting your $130. Good luck!

$130? That's a crazy amount of money. You could pretty much do two other secondaries for that price.

Dude, I submitted my AECOM secondary also, and I don't recall seeing the sign either. I went back to the site today and there it was lol. I could have sworn that it wasn't there a few weeks ago 😱

Oh well, Ill just email them as well make sure everything is ok. I wonder if we just made a horribly bad impression on a great school 🙁

Agree with all of the previous posts...those Texas schools would be mad to not accept you...and if they didn't, you could still do much better than Georgetown!

Heads-up on Rush, kids. You're going to need a copy of your birth certificate or passport. So if you don't have a passport, get ready to order a copy of your birth certificate from your county of birth. If you live in a different state, you'll need to have your request signed and notarized. 🙄

Just a heads-up. After slogging through those essays, who wants to be held back from "File Complete" because of a stupid birth certificate?

Also, they need a 2X2 picture.

i am hating U of C right now. Rush may have 4, but in my opinion U of C's seem a lot more time consuming.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm a little confused...I got a few emails from schools for secondaries but for the schools that you are all saying have the secondaries on their site, is that the only way to get them or will they contact us if/when we should fill them out? Is this something they just expect us to do? Thanks 🙂
